Who writes a review on a $9.99 phone holder... Me!!First of all, it has a tab on the tape holding the box closed. I noticed this AFTER I ran in the house to get a pair of scissors. No need, pull the tab, and open!! I needed this in a hurry and all the others for next day delivery were $28! Not spending that on a cell phone holder. I bundled this in with some other stuff and got it the next morning before my trip. The quality is the same as the expensive ones. It comes with dash and vent mounts too. Oh yeah, the tightening screws have wings so you don't need a kung fu grip to tighten them. They didn't give me free stuff or money or 1000 emails begging for a review. I was just so surprised that it was so good, and I'm waiting for a truck to get unloaded so I figured I'd share my experience!!

Went together really well and I did find the perfect place to use the suction cup rather that the base that sticks. I am super happy with it and it holds well. I like it because I had one that went through my AC vent and I didn’t care for that because it reduced the air flow which is not good in Texas. However this phone holder did have a hook up for AC vent as well for those who do like that way to hook it up. It is able to hold its shape when the nuts you can tighten down on it so therefore I do not leave it in my car again too hot with the texas heat. I leave it in my laundry room and can grab it and push the suction button into place and there I have it if iam going longer than just around town.

Great I love how it extends so I don’t have to keep leaning forward to use my phone. The only thing I don’t like is how the release button is on the top vs the bottom. That makes it awkward to reach over my phone to press the button to release the hold vs reaching on the bottom like the previous version I used to have.

Love the versatility- can mount on Air vent, dashboard or on windshield according to your preference. I mounted on dashboard. I’m quite short (4’11”) and I was able to mount so it didn’t disrupt my sight line. Easy to install. I like that it has a temperature rating for very hot temps so it doesn’t melt off in hot months. They suggest you mount the suction 24 hrs prior to adding the other parts so it will stick better. I followed this instruction and it is sticking great! It is good quality. I also like that the gadget allows for various sized phones and the tilt allows for more than one phone to use when driving the car. Great if you share a car. I recommend.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’m pretty surprised how much I like this. Started driving a pre-handsfree vehicle again, and needed a good phone/guidance solution- this worked great. Long arm lets the phone reach past the dash to wherever you want it. I didn’t read the instructions and suctioned the base onto my dash, then thought “wait, didn’t this make dashes crack back in the day?” And sure enough there’s a disk to act as a go between that it suctions onto so your dash stays flat. I pulled the suction cup off the dash (no damage or residue) and installed it the right way.

I was planning on using the base attachment but the smaller part secures really well to my air vent which makes it less bulky (and not need for the sticker suction cup). Wish I would have upgraded to this sooner! My old one would fly off whenever I made a sharp turn.

The release button that is supposed to pop open the sides of the holder to release the phone is located in the back of the holder behind where the phone sits in the cradle. It’s not as easy as it should be to release the phone. It’s stiff. And doesn’t open fully on its own. Doesn’t seem to want to accommodate an iPhone 13 Pro max. I always have to move my seat all the way forward reaching to use both hands to remove and then replace the phone. My previous holder looked the same. But the release buttons were conveniently located on the sides. Easy access. And instant release. No daily push and pull. If I had more time I would’ve returned this one. Too stiff and requires constant manipulation. I’m giving 3 stars for quick shipping and easy reliable dashboard installation.

Great fit in a 2016 Hyundai Veloster base modelSuper easy install on the vent. And solid. Even from the vent just past the car center and on the passenger side, iPhone Face ID can pick up with the slightest movement toward the phone.
