My Favorite Mouse
I’ve been using a trusty old Logitech G502 gaming mouse with my desktop PC for years. However, I just got a MSI GE76 Raider gaming laptop and was looking for a decent compact mouse to go with it. I’m used to having extra back and forward programmable buttons. Cherry is a known brand, especially for keyboard mechanical switches where they are a dominant force.I was impressed by the mouse from the get-go. It is slightly smaller than a regular desktop mouse and fits nicely in my hand and provides easy access for my thumb to the back and forwards buttons. A really nice feature is the DPI button which lets you manually change sensitivity depending on the kind of game you are playing or application you are using. The scroll wheel feels great. There is no play; it’s smooth and firm.Having a laptop means you have minimal free USB ports available. Fortunately, this mouse has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality you can shift between via a switch underneath. I ended up using Bluetooth which only takes a moment to wake up and has given me no problems so far. A Wi-Fi dongle is included and attaches underneath. I ended up not using Wi-Fi to free up a USB port. The built-in battery with USB charging is a nice touch because it makes this mouse light weight. The USB charging is compatible with my magnetic cables, so I have quick connect which is an added bonus. This is by far my favorite portable mouse. It has all the functionality I need and I don’t need to install any drivers. It is more pricey than most but is easily worth it because of the quality and extra features. My only slight niggle is that it only comes in an elegantly styled black and silver design; a few more color options to suite a variety of tastes would be cool but other than that I really can’t find fault in it.

The USB connector is unreliable
Ever since I bought this mouse, the USB connector was finnicky at best. It stopped working entirely some months ago. If Windows 10 hadn't broken their bluetooth services, I might have been able to keep using the mouse. The Cherry keyboard I own still works great with a near-identical wireless usb connector, but for whatever reason this mouse did not have the same product quality.

great (mini) mouse
I love this mouse. It is on the smaller side, what some might call a laptop mouse or portable mouse. I like to move my mice with my fingers as opposed to resting my palm on them and moving my arm. It works great for me.Build quality is great, like everything I have bought from Cherry. My desktop mouse is the Cherry GENTIX 4K (wired), and I got one of their cheap keyboards (Cherry WhisperKey Economy Keyboard) - that was impressive also despite the economy price (great build, key feel, quiet). I wanted to buy one of their TKL keyboards (pricey) but ended up with a G-Skill keyboard with Cherry switches. But back to this mouse - all the buttons and scroll-wheel feel great (scroll-wheel is clickable also - middle-click, but no tilt). It feels sturdy. The patterned rubber sides feel good also. None of that spray-on rubber coating that becomes sticky after a couple of years.Using the mouse with the included dongle is straightforward.Using the Bluetooth connection with my Linux laptop gave me a bit of trouble. (RTFM if you don't notice the small button under the switch on the bottom.) I could initially connect (and "pair" and "trust") the mouse to the laptop, it showed as connected but the cursor on the screen didn't move. It did start to move after putting the laptop to sleep and waking it up later on. Strange... It has been working great since then. The included pouch and charging cable are a bonus. The pouch is nice, the cable is cool-looking (black with red/cherry accents).So... is it worth the price, considering there are similar mice at half the price? I say yes, if you value quality for items you use daily. Otherwise, buy a Tecknet but don't be surprised if it feel creaky and sloppy.

LOTS OF FEATURES, WORTH THE MONEY PLUS 1ST RATE CUSTOMER SERVICE
UPDATE 8/31/22 - GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICEThe company has resolved the problem set out in my 8/1 update by sending a replacement. Five stars for their 1st rate customer service; purchase with confidence that problems will be resolved.UPDATE; 8/1/22I got this mouse in May [and really liked it] but am now very disappointed. It no longer holds a charge and has to be recharged every 24 hours!! For $30 this should have lasted a lot longer than 3 months.!!!!Being tired of cheap mice [under $20] that go through batteries and last maybe a year, I decided to upgrade to a better {spend more $$] rechargeable one. This one charged quickly, is lightweight, comfortable, has an audible click and a very smooth scroll wheel. Set up is a matter of plugging the receiver into your PC's port and its ready. For the extra dollars you also get some additional features:Connects via Bluetooth or wireless receiverEncryption already enabledCharging with any USB socket/ can be used during chargeLow battery status lightReceiver stored inside mouseIncludes carry/storage bag and USB cableSleep modeBest mouse I've ever tried and definitely worth the price.
