Good product
I did not like the fact that it came without a manual. We were on a job site with no WiFi couldn’t look up on line

Leveled up
Perfect laser for long or big leveling projects. Also like the visible laser for lines on ceilings and walls. Love the remote feature too. Does require the big tripod though not the 1/4”

Really needed this to work- Remote detector not practical
I really needed this to work, as it fits an everyday requirement that we have, and dozens of batteries. The laser is only visable at dusk for 2-300 ft. To use the laser receiver at any time never was practical because it needed to be within an inch or so of the laser beam. We could search for an hour at 1000 ft, and have trouble finding it, and then keeping it. A 2000' claimed range is not feasible. It touts +/- 1/16-inch accuracy at 100ft, and that is how close the receiver needs to be to detect the beam. Extremely durable, built like a tank- Just not practicle to use in the field.

Dewalt Customer Service is tanking
I have really like using this unit because we have lots of batteries around the job site. The unit is very durable and easy to use. The one negative thing I would say is the amount of detection of the laser receiver is too picky. You need to be within 1" or so for receiver to detect the laser from the unit. Our Tap con unit has 2-3times more detection which is very useful during rough grading to avoid wasted time searching for the signal. Overall pretty happy with the unit. I was very disappointed that the battery stopped taking a charge just over a year old. Dewalt wanted me to ship it service center, so by the time you pay hazmat charge and shipping I could buy another battery. We've had 5 out of 38 (20v-60v) dewalt batteries go down on us this year and Dewalt was replacing them. Maybe they saw how many we were having issues with but we own nearly every tool they produce and use them on the job sites. Never leave my batteries out in the cold and never leave them on charger over night. Dewalt battery quality control is becoming very poor and their customer support is now crumbling. More profit than care at this pointUpdate after after using this unit for 4 years: Still hate that the detection eye is too small making too sensitive to find receiver at times. Accuracy is still very good with this unit and has held up very well. Receiver mount did finally break on us, 2 part epoxy fixed it. I rely on this unit nearly 8-9 months a year but seeing massive price increase I would find another brand if it broke. I have 70+ working Dewalt batteries and about 18 defective 20/60v batteries that have died on us now so that hasn't changed much.

Another fine product from Dewalt
It's everything it was advertised to be. Some other competing lasers were less expensive but my other 20V Max products have held up well and this laser uses the same batteries. No complaints.

Good -- but not all it could be
This is a nice rotary laser, but it arrived without instructions (I could find them and download them online) and the tripod attachment plate was either broken on arrival or broke on first VERY LIGHT contact. The green laser is not nearly as bright as I had expected. On a sunny day, it is difficult to see indoors with only outside daylight through the building's windows (no electric lights on). In retrospect, I wonder whether one of the cheap Chinese knock-offs would have been a better value.

NOT as tough as they think it is.
First one lasted 2 weeks, and quit rotating. Dewalt replaced with no questions. Second one has lasted 3-4 months, and has quit rotating. Im a dewalt guy, and my business uses all Dewalt. The guys at Dewalt have been great about failures and replacements, BOTH times. Problem is: It is advertised to be nearly indestructable, costs a LOT, and is the weakest tool in my arsenal. I need to be on my job site, not waiting on a replacement.
