Absolutely worth changing to this Goosebox from a pin box
After reading many reviews and watching several videos I decided to buy the Reese 94720. I had a MORyde pin box with a Pullrite SuperGlide 2900 in my short bed F350. We travel often and I want to eliminate/reduce the chucking and free up space in the bed of my truck. I have an electric winch in my shop so installing and removing the hitch was never an issue. For reference, my 5th wheel is 42 feet long and weighs around 16k loaded.Installation took under 90 minutes and was relatively easy. I used an impact to R&R the bolts then torqued them to specs. A friend helped install it due to the weight. You will need to buy safety chains as they are not include and most states require them. We've gone on one trip since the swap and the difference is absolutely amazing. The chucking is all but eliminated and you don't have the noise from the slight play in the connections. I may not be able to turn as sharp as I could with the SUperGlyde but there doesn't seem to be a big difference. Additionally, the stuff in the 5th wheel was in it's place and not jostled around like it used to be. We are very happy with the swap and would do it again.A couple of things to be aware of: It's a bit of of stretch to reach the release on the Goosebox once it's connected and the safety chains are tough to reach to connect and disconnect so you may have to slide in on your belly. Lastly, the valve stem to put air in the air bag is tough to reach when the RV is connected. Other than that it is terrific and I attached before and after pictures.

Good quality product but no instructions
This thing is heavy duty! Just wish it had some sort of ball park instructions from the get go. It was quite a guessing game on the height of where to mount this to my trailer due to I have a lifted truck to pull with. First had it with hardly any bed rail clearance (under 4”) so did the complete opposite after. Then way too much and trailer was nowhere near level, somewhere in between is where I need to put it next. Just not easy to move up and down but 2 guys can certainly do it and run the bolts with an impact. *Reference, I have a 2019 Forest River Sabre and a shortbed alumiduty Ford. Guys with shortbeds, get the B&W 4” extender on Amazon to give you some more cab clearance, it’s well worth the peace of mind to not kiss the window

Excellent Hitch
I can highly recommend the Goosebox after two trips. No chucking, swaying or other anomalies. With the airbag and shocks, the Goosebox absorbs all the bumps and does not transmit them to the truck. Easy to install but you’ll need a big torque wrench to torque the fasteners to 210’ lbs. Excellent bedrail clearance of 7 1/2”. You’ll have to practice connecting to the ball as you must be just right to connect.

Absolutely love this thing!
This is a big improvement over my old Companion 5th wheel.0 chucking.Rides better.Less noise.Lighter by about 100lbs on the trucks rear wheels.Much faster to hook up and unhook when you consider removing the hitch from the truck like most of us need to do.Very well made! Was easy to install with a little help from 2 friends. (Its a 3 man job for sure, but not hard to do, just heavy.)Have more bed space now.Honestly love this thing and will never go back to a traditional 5th wheel again!

A Smooth move
I bought a Grand Design Solitude 375res fifth wheel. While the coach was at the dealership being prepped for delivery, I purchased the 20K Goosebox and had Amazon ship it to the dealership so they could install it for me. I decided to go with the Goosebox because I also have a Lance Camper and I didn't want to lug a fifth wheel hitch in and out of my truck every time I wanted to use the camper. Or when I just wanted full use of the bed. When I ordered my truck I included the fifth wheel/Gooseneck prep option so this was an easy decision. I ordered the B&W ball and safety chains to go with the Goosebox. I have never towed with a fifth wheel hitch so I can't give a comparison. My son who has, says towing with the Goosebox is more stable with hardly any chucking. What I observed is a very stable platform that has little to no chucking and hardly any side to side movement during cross winds or when big rigs pass you.It takes a little bit to line up on the ball when you are by yourself. I'm thinking about mounting a camera under the side rail of the bed so I can see. The camera on the cab can't see the ball. Otherwise I'm very happy with this setup. Oh in case you are wondering, No, it doesn't void the coach warranty. Reese is owned by Lipert and Lipert built the chassis on my coach as they do for so many manufacters, so they have given their stamp of approval.

Good as a B and W companion.
Had a B and W companion hitch in my 2011 super duty. Pulling a 16k torque toyhauler. Hitch was great but sold the truck and bought a 2019 ram 3500. Cost was about the same for a new B and W or this. The B and W setup was very heavy and I use my truck bed all the time so constantly removing and reinstalling. I bought this and installed myself in about an hour. Feels the same as towing with the B and W but no heavy hitch to remove and reinstall every time. I would buy again. Make sure to get gen 2 though. I bought a gen 1 by accident and had to return it due to airbag leak first time using it.

You must be a contortionist to make this setup work.
In their infinite wisdom, engineers of this product put the schrader valve on the pin box far enough forward that you must be a contortionist in order to get your air hose to it. It is bad enough that the lock and the disconnect cable are difficult to reach, but try looking at the air bag fill indicator and filling the air bag. Sure, with a tall ladder you can wriggle your way to the fill valve from the top side, but you still have to attach the safety chains, the brake breakaway, and a pad lock if you wish to lock the hitch in place. Why not put a longer cable in place, and move the schrader valve to the very back of the pin box. When I called tech support, the call clerk was a real jerk. He started throwing around "Lippert approved" and Anderson's break and a bunch of nonsense. Like he is justifying their crappy design because others have crappy designs too. I would seriously consider the Gen Y box!!!
