ERAFortress 3 Star Anti Snap Euro Cylinder Barrel High Security TS007 UPVC Door Lock 45/50 (95mm)

Quality locks with all the features of A cylinder twice the price, marked with British standard 3 stars kitemark, this is necessary for most insurance policies in the UK. They boast Anti snap disable feature and have nice tight paracentric keyway and 6 pins with 2 anti drill pins. No origin of manufacture on any of the packaging or cyclinder, probably made in Taiwan by Federal so tons better than the normal Chîną offering.Purchased a pair for patio doors and didn't receive keyed alike although asked for it.The bitting of the keys is ok on the two cylinders I received nothing amazing, but to be perfectly honest I very much doubt that any burglar would go to the bother and trying to pick them more likely try to snap them off.3 Keys supplied with red plastic caps and a code number eatched in to the head of the key, this could pose security risk as duplicates could be made very easily just by jotting the number down.Seen numerous locksmiths recommending these locks online so decided to give them ago 👍

Having looked at many makes of lock this seemed to be the best all round. Delivered quickly, very good quality well made lock. Three keys with option of more.The lock is very easy to fit, just make sure you get the correct size. I don't think that it would take anybody more than 10 minutes to fit, at the outside.Highly reccomend.

Having recently been burgled and having seen video footage of a standard cylinder lock being snapped and the premises entered within 30 seconds I replaced all of the standard cylinder locks for Euro 3 locks. The locksmith recommended this brand and they are excellent. They are robust, very well made and the locking mechanism is very smooth. The three keys that are supplied are also a bonus. I chose these over the Yale Euro 3's as the Era Fortress can be fitted either way in the door whereas the Yale lock (because they only have anti snap on the exterior side) can only fit the door one one way - this makes measuring the Era ones much easier (Era have anti snap on both sides). I thoroughly recommend as I have fitted these to 5 doors (including conservatory) at my house. Tip: Spray inside the locking mechanism with WD40 or equivalent oil prior to use to ensure mechanism stays nice and smooth.

My only complaint would be that I have to lift the door handle for it to lock. Not sure if that's a feature or fault of the lock or door ,but very easy in movement.

Looks the part. Smooth operation. Hopefully door is now more secure. Limitation I guess is strength of door and frame
