I used this once with like 20 lbs and metal shavings fell from it. I would not recommend it.

This stainless steel pulley is well made, and is suitable for sustained use, as long as you stay within tolerance. I say stay within tolerance strongly, because the bottom separator has only a small dot of a spot weld. If this separator were to fail, then your rope will get bound in the block, and that could become a safety issue. The rest of the components are all high quality, with no burrs or rough spots, and the swivel pin seems very sturdy, for the rated weight.
