Should’ve been perfect for the task, however on initial plug in, only 3/5 worked, every 2nd bulb stays dead, even on “steady on”. Tried rewiring a couple of different ways but it was either 3/5 or 0/5. Suspect one of the strings wired in reverse as LEDs only work in one direction. I’ll just live with it now and buy something else for next Christmas :-(** after some research on how 2-wire lights can be made to flash, chase etc it would appear that although these are DC, the adapter is actually capable of delivering both AC and DC @ 24v. To generate a "steady on" the controller actually switches polarity likely higher than 60Hz, so they are flashing, but so fast your brain doesn't perceive it.I am however eager to be corrected if this isn't the case, just disappointing there is no advice on the listing to say that full functionality only available with the supplied controller and will not work off a 24v source (like 2 car batteries in series). updating to 3 stars as they would likely be fantastic if I was able to use the supplied controller. I will be rewiring the reverse circuit this weekend. **

These have a great lead in line before the lights actually start. I used on a porch and was able to run from outlet to corner and up towards ceiling before the lights start. Great quality.

I just hope I bought a blinking light rather than the steady light, but still beautiful enough for my christmas tree
