Brittle
Maybe I got a bad batch, but the red filament breaks when stationary for about a day. I haven't experienced this before with other brands.UPDATE: Company contacted me and offered a replacement. I tried it through several prints and nothing bad happened. I’m assuming the first one was just in a bad batch. Chinese maker needs more quality control. But less expensive than other brands and I’ll finish the spool and then put in another update. If I get through it ok I’ll buy again. But thanks to the company for the extra effort.UPDATE #2. After a few more prints that went OK. Filament started to break again. This time while running. Happened twice more and less than 30% of spool used. Don't want to finish the spool. Serious quality problem. I give up. Back to one star.

There are better that are cheap
The filament for the most part is decent. I have had it twice break on me while it sat for a week without printing, and have had been forced to clean the extruder, but that may have been due to the fact I had it set to over extrude by 2% for a short period of time as the prints ran better. Some of the measurements I have done tend to have it on the smaller side at 1.73 to 1.72mm for the thickness. Now as far as the first issues I mentioned, I am aware leaving filament out isn't the best option, but having done that for months of sporadic use of other cheap filaments I have used, I started out with the Tianse brand for about 3 different colors (green, blue, silver), and never having the same issue, pushes me back away from purchasing this brand again.

Brittle and wasted a lot because it kept breaking
I really didn’t have too many problems with if I would really cautiously handle it like a fragile object. But when it sat idle for a few hours between jobs and started again, random length pieces would break off and become brittle. I had three different pieces broken inside of my bowden tube and had to just force them out with a different color filament.I tried to start a print remotely and it froze up because this filament had broken while sitting idle. I've had problems with other colors of this same brand. This filament is too fragile and brittle. When it worked, it looked great but half of the roll was wasted due to the brittle nature. The date on my roll was almost a year old. I wonder if I just got an old batch that was sitting around. They gray roll that gave me problems is from right around the same time period (May - June 2018). It's currently May 2019 and my gray was easily 6 months old when I received it originally.

Brittle, strong coil, breaks alot
EDIT : Not happy with this filament, but at least I was able to use most of it without throwing it away. Major issues are:- Very brittle. Will not bend at all like most PLA filaments Breaks alot- Breaks while not being used. After a print, sometime overnight the filament will break of the extruder ( bowden) and be on the roll.- There is a strong curvature in the filament from the roll. It wants to stay coiled.Based on the fact that I could finish the roll, I raised my review to TWO stars. I still will not buy again. The roll in question is dated 20180518 and was purchased in August. Vacuum bag was good. Bad batch. I hope the white roll I got at the same time is ok.Although it prints ok, the filament keeps breaking. I finish a print, come back in the room and the filament is broken. Have not yet broken during use, but only used it 4 times. It has already broken 3 times. Will not buy again.

No Problems with any Dikale filament so far
The lower cost of this particular filament immediately drew my attention, as did previous bad reviews. It is my belief that the bad reviews based on brittleness or other poor quality reports were of a previous batch. I started with Dikale grey, and it was on par with hatchbox and other similar makers. I ordered a single spool of the red to test it for myself and it prints as well as any other filament I have used. After about 48 hours of printing with this filament, I bought 5 more spools.

Wanted to love it...
This stuff is fire red, and when it prints, comes out with a great shine and bright red finish that I really wanted to love. While I have had some success with the filament, I just haven't had consistent results with it. Several times I have started long running prints with this, only to find out later that under-extrusion and clogs were an issue. Knowing that this can be introduced with continued use, I scorched earth the the print path with completely a completely clean extruder and new nozzle, but ran into the same issues. Thinking something else might be at play, I inserted some of the old trusty stuff and boom, no issues. I tried temps from 180-220 C and nothing seemed to fix.

Satin finish, light red color.
The pictures of this filament are accurate. It is not a deep or brilliant red. Also note that it is satin finish, not glossy. I found that it works well at 210 deg. C extruder, with a 60 deg. C bed temp on PEI film. Adhesion is not as good as the shiny black filament I was sent with my printer (sorry, it was unbranded). I believe this is because it is a satin material and probably has a filler to make it that way. Strength seems to be adequate and possibly a little higher than the shiny black, again, probably because of the filler. I did not find any problems with it and would order it again.

Would not buy again
Print quality was good for the first 2 layers on the spool. After that it had random brittle spots that would break like pasta. Brittle point Would be from 30mm long up to 500mm. No real pattern as if one side of the spool had been over exposed to light or moisture. Just randomly from half a meter to several meters to the next break point.Thought it was a fluke wit one bad spool, but I bought three spool, red, blue and black. All had the same issue.
