UPDATED REVIEW: Five Stars
I love this pour over coffee maker more than any other I've EVER had, and I've had oh so many! My original broke with a simple tap to the counter 20 days after I bought it, but the management at Apace Living immediately sent me a replacement and I am back in action. The new one is the same as the last, but the glass does feel more substantial and I now know not to tap it at all. I have a gooseneck kettle that I use with it and the coffee is superb. I have the 1500ml size and am so pleased that when I make a big batch (something I could not do with my French Presses or previous pour over brands) that the coffee blends well and stays hot. In the summer, I love making big batches for iced coffee as well. The metal cone is an exceptional option when compared to paper filters. I always find that the filters add a bitter taste to my coffee, which I have no appreciation for, and they also generate a lot of unnecessary waste. This cone is eco-friendly and very efficient, though you should be wary of flavoring with cinnamon or other super fine spices as they will dramatically reduce the flow of the water through the mesh, which is very fine. All in all, I'm thrilled with this coffee maker and am grateful for the exceptional customer service of the company as well! This is an update on my prior review which read: I loved this coffee maker, but the glass is very thin. I was cleaning it, dinged it on the side of the sink, and the base completely shattered. For those of you who think, like I did, that "I'm not like that other person that broke it", I guess I am. It took less than a month and it was off to the garbage can. What's nuts is that other than the fact that it broke so quickly, I want to order another one. The coffee is exceptional and the filter is so much better than any other pour-over I've ever used. So, don't be surprised if it breaks, but also don't be surprised that the coffee is five-star.

LOVE THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PRODUCTS
Y'all, this company understands customer satisfaction. First let me review the actual product:I love this little coffee maker. I'd say it makes a perfect amount for one large cup of coffee (or two small cups), but you'd probably want to size up if you want to make two large (12-16 oz) cups. The metal filter is well made, and I don't get any grounds in my coffee. It's also super easy to wash (I don't ever have a problem with grounds getting stuck in the holes, which was one of my fears). The little silver measuring spoon is beautiful and really high quality. Overall, this is the perfect coffee maker for someone who wants a quick, single cup of coffee without the waste of a Keurig or the clean up of a coffee brewer. Now, let me gush about the company. I ordered this product because I wanted to make two 12-oz cups of coffee at a time for myself and the hubby. When the product arrived, I realized the version I got was too small for that. I was a little peeved with the description of the product, which said it was sufficient for 2 cups of coffee, but more peeved at myself for not doing the math and not realizing that 400 mL = 13.5 oz, which obviously isn't enough to make two 12-oz cups at a time. Anyways, I emailed the company, explaining my oversight and requesting an exchange. I got an email back within a few hours, with the representative apologizing profusely and proclaiming that the company is working toward updating the descriptions to better reflect the amount of coffee made by each product (again, it was MY fault for not realizing that 400 mL = 13.5 oz, not the company's). The representative gave me a full refund for the 400 mL version with instructions to KEEP the 400 mL version free of charge, and then provided a 20% off coupon code to purchase the 800 mL version. This was SO insanely kind of them, especially considering the mistake was mine to begin with! Also, if you're wondering, the 800 mL version is absolutely perfect for 2 full cups of coffee and has the same beautiful, high quality design. Thank you, Apace!!!!

Why spend more money on a fancy glass jar?
This is a great Chemex substitute- it comes with a reusable filter, a (2 tablespoon) spoon and a cork. I chose this over the Chemex because 1) it's more economical 2) it has a handle and 3) it has great markings on the side. I don't see why I would pay more for a name-brand if it's essentially the hourglass jar shape that we're looking for.I've enjoyed this coffee just as much as I've enjoyed my aeropress coffee (if not more!) The best part is, I get more than one cup for the effort required! I couldn't recommend this more, it's honestly as easy as a coffeepot and much more sanitary and seriously better tasting. For the lazy at heart: one heaping spoonful of coffee for each cup of desired coffee. Wet the grounds with hot water (around 200 degrees F) and allow them to bloom (this just means, wet the grounds and wait about 30 seconds) then finish pouring the hot water over the grounds as to not overflow the filter!

Beau cadeau !

Best coffee maker we've ever had
My boyfriend and I love pour over coffee and have been looking for the perfect system that is easy to use and clean, is eco friendly, and of course makes an excellent cup of coffee. This pour over system excels at all of that and it's really beautiful to look at. We use it for coffee and tea and the medium size makes the perfect amount for us, and it can make enough for when we have guests too. The stainless steel filter is easy to clean and not having to buy filters is great. We highly recommend this product.

The sieve is really awesome, it lets the water run through quickly for a steaming cup of coffee! The glass carafe is too delicate, it broke after just a few days of using it - it fell over on the counter top not even down to the floor. It was a bit disappointing - but I am still using the sieve every day and it is great.
