Not for fish!
This should never be used for fish of any kind. At best you could house brine shrimp, but any fish in that small of a container is animal cruelty.

Fish killer
My fish keep dying. Not enough oxygen for the fish to survive.

To Small for any kind of Fish! Not enough surface area for gas transfer, rule of thumb is 1 gallon of water per inch of fish.

Not safe for fish
Don’t buy this - the holes at the top are too tiny, there isn’t enough oxygen for the fish. I found him gasping at the waterline and had to quickly move him out of here.

Cute novelty
This is a novelty item and it's cute. But you really shouldn't keep fish in it. Too small. And if your plant needs light, the water may get too hot. Also, the lid is hard to keep on, it barely balances. But, for the money, it's cute and novel.

Snail Garden
This is adorable and fun for all of your plants that like wet feet. The soil gets and remains *quite* moist, so put a spider plant or marshy, water loving plant in it. A succulent will be sad within hours and get root rot within the week.As far as the tank section goes, I have several smooth pebbles and a ceramic spoon submerged in the water to create interesting environments to climb through for my water snails. Such a small tank is not likely to support the nitrogen cycle so for long term enjoyment of animals, pick ones that can survive anything. Personally I quite like the way light catches the shells and air bubbles of bladder snails, and they are tolerant to just about every water condition. In order to keep the water from getting too warm, it is a better idea to keep this out of direct sunlight. Indirect light seems to keep everything the happiest, and there are plenty of plants that like lower light and wetter feet.I would not put a fish in here, it is just too small to be safe because wastes will build up and there's no room for the fish to have any enrichment at all.

Keeps itself clean!
Love this tank! I have an elephant ear beta fish I have cleaned her tank once since before Christmas and it's coming up on St. Patrick's day! So many complaints!

Does keep the plant watered and Beta fish seems healthy ...
Does keep the plant watered and Beta fish seems healthy after several weeks. The holes in top (about the size of a quarter in all four corners around the plant) allow for oxygen exchange, I guess (since this was a problem in a different one I also ordered) and feeding is convenient.
