You don't need the heat shield on. It's a bit rickety and looks like an after thought

Good stove but a bit of a gimick with it design and way overpriced. I much prefer a Coleman dual fuel stove at half the price

Beware!
I bought one, returned it three times then got my money back. For each one I tried they worked until I turned them off - then they leaked. Very shoddy workmanship.
