1/15/17 - As someone who used to work in shoes, I'm very picky about what I put on my feet. I originally bought these as hiking shoes. They're incredibly comfortable, sturdy, and they definitely stand up to the elements. I still wear them for hiking, but they're definitely a great everyday shoe. I work in education now, so I'm on my feet all day every day. I NEVER come home with sore feet.They're definitely not waterproof, so don't expect that, but I'd say they're somewhat water resistant. I've worn them in the snow and it takes a while for water to seep in. You will not be disappointed with these!4/12/18 - These boots are a daily wear over a year later and they’re still in near perfect condition. These are literally the best hikers I have ever owned!2/25/19 - Finally retired these shoes to camping-only. They’re still in great shape, but some of the seams are loosening and fraying. Treads have worn down significantly with everyday wear for 2+ years.

These boots feel good for the price. The toe area is a bit longer than wider but overall it fits well. I do highly suggest replacing the insoles in these since they're pretty minimal but other than that I don't think I could expect more from a boot in this price range.

so far a great boot. Of course this was my first pair of regular hikers, but I can see getting another pair or more if they last like the steel toed work boots do, which I have gone through 3 pairs in 6 years.9 1/2 E perfect fit for 9 1/2 wide. 5 mile hike in 28 degree weather and toes stayed warm and were not at all uncomfortable.
