I stay in Costa Rica part of the year, and this is where I use it (while walking in our community). It freezes quickly, it's flexible enough, even when frozen, to allow putting it around my neck right away, and works the way it's intended to. It fits perfectly for anyone with an average size neck, which is what I have. I did find that it doesn't last any longer than about a half hour, and it creates condensation, due to the high humidity here in Costa Rica. They are easy to clean and dont take up much space in the freezer. I bought two and just swap them out when necessary. With that said, I still highly recommend this product and would purchase again.

Very cooling and comes in handy when a hot flash kicks in. I like that it is not bulky in any way and fits nicely around my neck.

I always run hot, but my roommates tend to run cold. So since I'm in the minority, they keep our townhouse much warner than I'd like. I live in the finished basement because it stays about 10 degrees cooler than upstairs, but when I come upstairs to cook, hang out with them, etc., I get really hot. I bought this to make myself feel cooler during those hot afternoons/evenings. It works beautifully! I keep it in the freezer, and once I put it around my neck, it stays cold a good 2 hours, which is enough time to cook/eat dinner, hang out with them, etc. If I'm working in my garden, I'll put it around my head so it keeps my forehead and temples cool (which makes me feel cooler all over). It's fairly flexible, so I probably haven't even thought of all the ways it could be used. But if, like me, you tend to feel hot all the time, buy this - you won't regret it! :)

It's easy to wear, but it also gets warm quickly, although it freezes quickly as well. I use it in AZ in the summer during home inspections when it's over 100 degrees. Unfortunately it only stayed cool for about 45 minutes. It's also really thin. I wish it had more contact area. As it was melting, I had to shrug my shoulders to feel the cool again. And it was no longer cool when I had to get in the attic. I had to put it in the freezer again if I was going to use it in the attic, but if there's no fridge in the house, I'm out of luck in the 130+ degree attic. Or when the house AC didn't work and it was 98 degrees in there, this collar was no good after only 45 min. It does take the edge off, but not for long. And a wider contact area would be nice. Over all, it's just alright.

I used this while walking outside in the 90+ degree Florida heat. I only left it in the freezer for about 30 minutes after receiving it, and it was frozen solid. It took around an hour for the last bit of ice to melt, which impressed me—it stayed frozen longer than I expected. This “frozen neck ring” actually works pretty well. I have tried the neck towel but that just makes shirt wet and the coolness will only last for a few minutes. I have used this ring while doing some basic yard work and sitting in front of grill these past few weeks and it makes a difference. Don’t expect a personal air conditioner that cools down your entire body, but having an ice pack on your neck gives some relief from the heat. I like it extra cold so I just toss it in the freezer and takes about 15-20 min to get back to semi solid form. I just bought a few more for my parents since they like to spend time outside in their garden.

I use these for gardening in the heat (I've always lived in HOT climates). These are great - easy to slip around your neck, not distracting and help cool. They do "run out" of cool pretty quickly so get a couple. I just switch them out while I'm outside - they cool down quickly in the freezer. I got 2 and if I garden for a couple of hours, I can easily switch back and forth and stay cool with 2. Glad to have found these
