So far so good
Difficult at first. Programmed on my couch then went to water spigot to install and no water would come out of unit. For some reason, all zone numbers must be underlined and there is no mention of this in instructions. After calling Amazon for support cause there is no manufacturer support number they only offered to replace it. Anyway,, I finally got it working. Now I’ll have to see if it holds and operates program. My setup is using 3 zones for 3 independent garden boxes. Zone 1 is for a hose only using it manually.

Solidly made, easy to use, well thought-out!
First impression: this thing is a MOOSE (in a good way!). For some reason, the product photo did not convey to me how large this timer is. I have a single zone timer made by this same manufacturer and it looks very similar except it fits in my palm. Of course this timer needs to be considerably larger, but they upsized everything including the buttons and text so it fooled me how much larger it is. I have no problem with this, but be aware it is of such a size you may not want to hang it directly off your spigot (in fact I have a few spigots that are too low to accommodate this underneath). I plan on running a short hose over to this unit and then splitting off the zones from there. This is a very well-made product. I ordered this timer because (as I mentioned) I have a different model from this brand and I was impressed with the construction. Everything is water sealed and carefully designed for its purpose. The brass fitting on the input is indeed brass (I checked).I ran this timer through its paces and it works as described. It’s worth noting that, given four outputs, this timer never has two zones (outputs) running at the same time. It would be asking a single water source to supply multiple outputs, which would ultimately be weaker than expected. Instead it multiplexes the outputs. For example, if you put it in manual mode, enable 3 of the 4 zones, and set it to 1 minute duration, the timer will sequence through the 3 selected zones, in order, for 1 minute each output. Something to keep in mind if you’re expecting to operate all outputs at the same time. That’s not how it works, and it’s clearly described in the well-written instructions. The timer is very easy to program, and I didn’t even need to refer to the instructions. You start with the “How often” setting, then work your way around the dial until you reach the “ON” setting. Very intuitive, and the order is determined for you. Times are set in one minute increments. The valves are operated by solenoids, so are rather immediate and will make a clicking sound when they activate. The manual advises that solenoid valves will reduce your water pressure some, and also require water pressure to operate. This would not be suitable, then, for a low pressure system like a gravity fed drip irrigation system (although I didn’t test it like that). If either of these characteristics of a solenoid valve are a problem for you, look for a time that uses ball valves. But if you’re running off of a faucet, you’ll have plenty of pressure and this is exactly what this timer is designed for.I found the instructions easy to follow and informational – you’ll want to keep them on hand. One complaint is that there are instructions on one side of the box telling you how to unstick your timer if any of the silicone valves stick. This can happen when it sits unused for “a long time”. Sounds good to know how to perform this, but it’s printed ON THE BOX, not in the instruction manual. Usually the box to something like this is long gone by then. So I took a photo of those instructions and will keep it with my manual. I’ve also included it here (see photo) in case it helps someone else.An awesome product if you need to keep 4 areas irrigated at various times of the day, automatically. Don’t be surprised by the size. Recommended.

Cost-Effective, Efficient and Reliable
Since SoCal water is hell on water equipment, I've gone through my fair share of garden sprayers and hose attachments. So, when I stumbled upon the RESTMO Sprinkler Timer to replace a failing timer, I was cautiously optimistic. Our home has always lacked an irrigation system, relying instead on hoses and individual sprinklers tied together. This timer seemed like a more cost-effective solution to streamline our lawn watering routine.Let me start by saying that there's nothing particularly unique about this product, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It delivers exactly what you'd expect from a water timer, and that's great. The familiar dial system, where you select your desired setting before fine-tuning with buttons, works seamlessly and is intuitive to use. However, I did notice that this product feels a bit cheaper in terms of construction and durability. But a timer isn't meant to be constantly moved around so how sturdy does it need to be? Once it's attached to the hose spigot, it's typically left alone. So, while it may not be the hardiest option out there, its affordability makes up for this. Plus, considering the harsh UV rays and hard water deposits it's subjected to, the durability of the casing becomes less of a concern. In terms of performance, this timer holds its own. It maintains accurate time settings, securely attaches to the hose bib, and allows for a tight connection to the hose itself. Its customizable features are handy, allowing for precise control over watering schedules. Additionally, it's built to withstand heavy rain and exposure to water from the hose, which is essential for outdoor use. While I haven't had this timer long enough to speak to its long-term durability, my experience with similar products suggests that it should last a good few years before needing replacement. And when the time comes to retire it, I'll likely find that the casing and controls are still in decent shape, despite the cheaper construction. Ultimately, paying extra for unnecessary durability would be a waste in my case. The RESTMO Sprinkler Timer may not reinvent the wheel, but it gets the job done efficiently and reliably. If you're in the market for a budget-friendly water timer that does exactly what it's supposed to, this product is worth considering. It's a practical solution for those looking to streamline their lawn watering routine without breaking the bank.

Brass Coupler for the Win!
I ordered this as soon as I saw that it was available, as I really wanted a timer with a brass connector to the spigot coming out from the side of the house. I have found in the past that any plastic object you attach to the spigot invariably cracks and becomes useless. I am a bit concerned with the bottom of this unit, which is plastic, but which will have a brass-ended hose attached to it.The unit comes in a cardboard box and requires 2 AAA batteries. It also has a small zip-lock bag containing pipe wrap/thread tape, one spare filter and one spare washer. I also like that it has the ability to set u programs that will automatically water every 1, 2, 3, or 7 days. It also has a rain delay that will by-pass the scheduled watering program for 12, 24, 48 or 72 hours.I have turned my city front lawn into a perennial garden, and where I live, it barely rains in July and August, so watering is a must or else the plants will die. Up until now, I have used the timer on my phone to remind me 20 minutes after I turn on the sprinkler, that I have to go outside and turn off the sprinkler. The issue has always been that it is best to water very early in the morning (5-6:00 am, before I am awake) or after dark (8:30-9:00 pm, when I am already in bed) to prevent the water from evaporating in the heat. I water after dark, so my neighbours are very familiar with my house coat, as I have to go outside to the front of my house to turn it on and off, lol!I can't wait to use this timer. Where I live, we are currently getting a late spring snowstorm, so I can't test this timer out yet, but I will be able to starting in mid-late April, depending on how much rain we get. I have read the manual and setting this timer looks very straightforward, but I will provide an update as soon as I have used it a few times.

Good Solution for Automatic Lawn Watering
The product seems very durable and despite it being plastic, it seems to be well-made.This is a RESTMO 1-Zone Digital Water Timer. If you are tired of turning on and off your outdoor water faucet during the dry summer months, this is a great solution. First off, the user manual is a small booklet with legible font which is very good these days. You can set watering duration between one minute and three hours and fifty-nine minutes. The watering frequency can be set from one hour to twelve hours or one day to seven days. The unit is powered by 2 triple A batteries but sadly, batteries are not included with the product. There is a support e-mail address as well as a toll-free number which is nice to see.The wheel knob for the settings is easy to turn and clicks into place. The water inlet is brass but the outlet (where you would connect your hose) is plastic. It would have been nice if the inlet and outlet were both brass.Operation is simple. You start by setting the clock. You then turn the dial to your start time. Following this, you turn the dial to set how long you want to water. You would then set the watering frequency (how often). Once the settings are made, you turn the dial to "on" to start the program.A nice feature is the rain delay. It allows you to postpone the watering program for a period of time since you don't want to be watering when it's raining. Another nice feature is that you can do manual watering without interrupting the preset program. This works wonderfully, for example, if you need to wash your car. This is it in a nutshell and if you don't have an automatic sprinkler, this is a great solution for those summer months, especially useful if you are away for a day or the weekend, you can ensure that your lawn gets watered. The product is supplied with Teflon tape to wrap around the threads to prevent leaks. You also get a replacement filter (strainer) and a spare rubber washer (gasket).I would recommend this product.

8 out of 10
The RESTMO 2 Zone Water Timer easily fits into our gardening experience. As expected, it perfectly fulfills its main function by automating the watering of plants. The timer can independently control water use in two zones, enabling a personally tailored focal schedule—a perfect match for plants with different consumption rates as well as some local water use limitations. However, it took some time to adjust to the programming, but the interface still seemed straightforward. The highlight is the functionality of an automatic shutdown as well as the ability to create precisely the time intervals when the plants will be watered, ensuring that the garden is not overwatered. The quality of the water timer assembly is great, and the brass inlet promises durability over time. Given that the design is quite simple, this is a good investment for any gardener. The only caveat turned out to be the lack of batteries and other equipment, yet this is not an obstacle to the flawless work of the device. It would be great if batteries and other equipment were added to future releases to make the purchase more complete. Therefore, I rated the RESTMO 2 Zone Water Timer 8 out of 10.My Verdict:Solid build make it a "good buy".I hope you find this review helpful in making an informed decision. Your feedback is always welcome.Cheers,Chris

Sturdy water timer with 2 separate outlets and a big digital display.
The media could not be loaded. This is a review for the RESTMO 2 Zone Sprinkler Timer. It comes with a user's guide, a spare mesh filter, an O ring filter and some Teflon tape. At the top there is a brass inlet with a mesh filter already installed. The bottom part has 2 separate outlets. 2 x AAA 1.5V batteries (not included) are required. The compartment is sealed using a gasket, so make sure to press it down completely.I like that the digital display is big and clear. Setting the timer is very easy and straightforward by using the dial and buttons. The first thing to do is set the clock, then turn the dial clockwise to follow the steps by setting 1 of 2 zones, the start time, for how long to water, how often, is it every day, other day, etc. If for some reason you want to delay next watering, you can press and hold the "DELAY" button and set by how much or you can turn the dial to the OFF position to disable the timer. You can manually start the water on either of the zones by pressing and holding the "MANUAL" button and setting number of hour(s) and/or minute(s). Once the timer is set and the dial is turned to the "ON" position, the display will alternate between current time and next water time.I have tested this timer and all functions have worked as expected. It is important to turn the water going into the inlet all the way for maximum pressure. The mesh filter and type of valves used in this timer will reduce water pressure, this is normal. To avoid this issue, you will need a timer with a ball valve instead. If there is leaking from the water inlet, you can apply the provided O ring gasket. Inspect the mesh filter from time to time to keep it clean and free of debris. It can easily be removed and applied. I have provided a video to demonstrate how to setup a timer, remove filter, and add a gasket. There are instructions provided on how to reset the valves should they get stuck in a specific position.Given the build quality, ease of use and how effective this product is, I highly recommend it, it is great if you water your lawn or plants at a specific time every day, and want to avoid going outside each time to open or close the valve, getting wet in the process.

Battery powered with many options
Feels like a solid unit, hefty and not cheap. The fact that it comes with plumbers tape and extra gasket is a nice perk, as is the filter and extra filter.I didn't realize when I ordered that it used to AAA batteries for power, and at first was disappointed as I try to avoid having to use batteries for many reasons (but mostly because I always forget to check on things that use them) and with the access for the batteries being at the back of the unit under the input hose connection, I was concerned about water getting into the battery chamber. However the access plate has a nice seal of silicon/rubber and fits very snugly so hopefully water access won't be an issue (also the plumbers tape should help keep water from dripping out of the connections). The instructions are pretty straight forward and seem easy enough to setup and change when needed. I'm not sure how I'm going to make this work for my setup since I only have the one exterior water tap tbh, but I'm sure the BF will think of something 💖😜. Having the ability to have two watering systems setup through one tap is really great and will make watering summer gardens so much easier.Overall, this looks and feels like a very solid timer and should help reduce the amount of attention I need to pay my garden on hot summer days or when I go away for the weekend. Handy :)
