be advised this model does not have a countdown timer. seiko has a model in different color for a few dollars more that does. the model with timer has the ability to beep. i kept this one because i like the black color - it looks really slick - but i was disappointed that it doesn't have a timer. seiko also has a model with backlight and a solar powered model - this unit doesn't have any of those features.i give it 4 stars because it is well designed and well made and looks and works well, and comes with a nice and useful case - but the feature set is somewhat basic compared to other seiko models. you can buy non-seiko stopwatches for one third the price of this unit that have the timer and the backlight ...

Garbage
I bought this because my previous stopwatch was also a Seiko and lasted 7 years.This one died after 7 months and the seller has not responded to my email.

these stop watches are an excellent product. would recommend them to anyone, split numbers are a good size. similar products have much smaller digits.they were delivered quickly. The service was spot on.
