nice item, enjoyed the build.
The product as a whole is shoddy and not worth the money. Deffinateley would not recommend.

Fascinating but........
The gears in this kit are made of cheap plywood and the wood for the frame is also of poor quality. The parts have been laser cut, apparently with the laser set to the highest power. This has scorched the edges and does give a slightly "antiqued" appearance. Delicate gear teeth and other fragile parts broke with the slightest provocation. The glossy instruction brochure is the best part and the instructions are detailed and clear. If only some of the cost in printing the instructions had been spent on better quality materials. A careful assembly process did however produce a working clock which makes a conversation piece. It taught me how clocks work. With careful adjustment, the clock could be made to tell the time too!Perhaps the cheapest part was the cardboard tube supplied to take the weight. It is also of note that the weight recommended is far too great and would pull the assembly off the wall if not fixed very securely. I wrapped the cylinder in a sheet of wood veneer and this gives a much more authentic appearance. An interesting project but I don't expect it to last.
