Smell off gas and engine light. OBDII says faulty gas cap, that's its only purpose and it does not work. go With OEM and don't waste your time.

Made my check engine light come on
I wanted to love this product. I purchased it to replace my old 04 grand marquis GS fuel cap and tho this product felt nice and was well made, it made my check engine light come on within a few days of replacing it. Thankfully the trash people didn’t come for the trash yet so I had to dig in there to get the old fuel cap back and send this one back in. It took a week for the check engine light to go away.

It broke after two uses!
It was very easy to install. However, the light for the gas cap came on and when I went to use it only the second time of getting gas it broke. The top came off and the spring came out. I would not get this item.
