Lots of fun!
Soldering is one of those skills that you can only get good at with practice… and lots of it!Foreword:In the pictures, I installed the switch on the wrong side…oops! If mounted correctly, the switch will not be flush with the PCB and has to be raised a bit to clear the opening in the glasses.Review:This kit took me (at an intermediate skill level) about 2 hours total to solder. I have lots of experience soldering wires together but am only just now getting into PCB work. I took my time and tried to get all the components mounted flush and perpendicular to the board. I did it in two sittings over one day because it is very relaxing, fun, and addicting to solder.I think for a beginner this kit is adequate since you need to solder the same components, allowing one to explore a bit with different ways to approach it. I treated it more like an exercise to hone my skills since I have limited experience with PCB soldering. The instructions are easy to follow and the diagrams are helpful…BUT the step for soldering the potentiometer was skipped (solder it right after or right before the KA2284). I didn’t read the instructions, but I soldered in the same order (taller components last). All components were present…but I ended up with an extra ceramic capacitor, an extra resistor, an extra screw, and 5 extra LEDs.One of the posts for mounting the PCB was not pre-drilled, not a big issue but it can definitely be confusing for a novice. The glasses worked flawlessly after I made them, the potentiometer works fine, and all the LEDs work.Summary:Whether you’re just starting off, or you’re looking to practice, this kit is a great way to get better at soldering and build confidence for more difficult solder jobs. Don’t forget a solder sucker in case you make a mistake and two A23 batteries to power the glasses!

Did not come with batteries.
I saw the same item being sold on amazon with batteries for 1 cent cheaper. Buy them from the other vendors. They even came with better instructions with pictures.

For me this is educational and entertaining to put together.
The media could not be loaded. What I liked about this is I am the one who put it together.Sure I have been around electronics for along time and never really understood how it all works together. This kit is a nice introduction to electronics and I liked that when reading the instructions it told how each component worked and how it works with the system. It also does test your skills in soldering. I did not have any problems with this but I can see how it will make you go back and check things if something was not correct. It was very entertaining and educational. I am hoping there is going to be others to get my hands on too.I can hardly wait to use these in a DJ gig when it comes up.I wish all the Good Luck to you and have lots of fun with these.

good soldering practice
Grabbed these to practice soldering - as it's been quite a while since I've exercised that muscle. Plenty to solder here. Had to read the instructions carefully, as they were kinda confusing, but got it all completed. Realized I had to purchase batteries - so had to wait a couple days for those to come in. Those aren't cheap. The instructions could have been much more clear. Batteries could have been included. For those reasons, I knocked off a star, but the cost is affordable for the practice.

Good starter kit to practice soldering
This kit is a great way to learn soldering. All the components are "through hole", which means you can install them in the proper holes (all clearly marked), and then solder them in. This is easier, and a better place to start, then try to do "surface mount" soldering. It took about 2 hrs to put together, and the instructions were clear enough.

Good for starting out
There’s a nice pretty basic board, which is pretty nice for beginners as myself I was able to put everything together pretty nicely this package does include a very well laid out manual and a assemble it which is pretty cool but the only thing annoying is it does not include batteries and it’s not normal batteries it is smaller batteries than normal so it’s not like you have them laying around I was just kinda annoying because you cannot see if you did everything correctly you have to go out and buy a batteries to check 10/10 recommend di get appropriate batteries for it though

Bad written directions, hole for switch in wrong place, takes uncommon batteries.
I got this to do with my homeschool kids. The written directions were terrible. There is a qr code to scan that goes to video directions, which were better. The hole where the power switch goes through the frame is too far back. It binds the switch and makes it inoperable. It will have to be cut/drilled larger to make it work. The glasses take 2 - a23 batteries, which I couldn't get at my local store and have had to order online. They're about $5 on Amazon.I took off three stars and left it at 2 stars, for bad written directions, odd batteries that weren't included, and an inoperable as sent power switch.I have done other solder kits that were nicer with much better directions and supplies. I wouldn't recommend this one.

Cool project!
I didn't realize this when I bought the glasses that thhis is something you will need to sauter the LEDs on yourself. Considering I don't have a sautering gun, and cannot read an electrical circuit map, this is a bit of a bummer, because the video of the product actually looked pretty cool to use at a club or party. Regardless, I would definitely be happy to use it (and figure out a circuit board) if I had a sauter. Overall, it's an interesting product to purchase if you know elctronics!

Good practice kit, needs some basic knowledge, more details, or an adult with electronic knowledge
I got this kit so m y son can experiment with electronic. Electronic is still a hobby, and that is a cool activity with my kids, and this kit looks fabulous for that as it becomes a (fragile) toy.The instructions are OK, but you need some basic knowledge. As long as you know how to place electronic components and solder them, you should be fine. I recommended a temperature controlled soldering iron, and a cleaning sponge. Regular uncontrolled iron will work, but won't give the best experience. For those lacking experience, a URL is provided with clear pictures, but everything is written in Chinese, and worse, the text is in the pictures, so you cannot translate using Chrome browser, you need to use Google Lens to take a picture of the screen. You can still follow the images, but this reduces the fun factor. We started assembling it yesterday, and my 10-years-old boy enjoyed it as much as doing Legos.

Fragile, doesn't come with batteries
Very fragile... put it 1 minutes than was it on a ultrasonic machine and the joint broke. I've glue it with cyanoacrylate, like you can see on the picture.Pros : very fun to assembleCons : doesn't came with the a23 battery, those are not really common, so I went to Walmart to buy too at 20$ ... if I would knew I would order some at the same time on Amazon who it's like 2$ each instead of 10$.Broke like in 1 minute, I wear them to see if I can see thru and put it on my ultrasonic machine to remove the remaining flux. I only put them in the machine for 20 seconds because I was scared to damage the speaker. .. The good news, the speaker survive the ultrasonic fill with IPA 91% but not one of the hinge of the branchIf you wanna wear those, I would tell you to buy an already assembled with better quality.... if you only wanna build those for hobbies and don't have any intention to wear it, I guess you can bought it.

Who is it for?
The idea behind this kit is to offer a way for people to learn electronic component and the assemblying process.Sadly, this kit is not beginner friendly as the instruction are vague. It is save by a well identified board, but you will not be learning the way you could. So it seems to be for someone with a bit of experience. But not a lot since it is a basic kit.So it seems to be for beginner with some experience, but not too much. The material is cheap, which is reflected in the cost of this kit. Sadly, the batteries to run and test your build cost more.So if you are interested in this you will need to double the price of the kit to make it work. All in all, if you have a bit of experience and want to try something new, this is a good kit for you. If you are looking for a challenge or you are a beginner with no experience you should skip this.

Poor quality
The kit itself is an interesting one and provides lots a simple way for beginners to try their hand at identifying electrical components and learning to solder. The instructions are a bit of a mess but you do not really need them to figure out where everything goes as everything is labeled right on the board. I found it a bit annoying that the unit requires 2 fairly uncommon and pricey batteries to operate. The glasses frame itself is very brittle plastic and one of the arms broke off immediately.
