GREAT RISER! GREAT SUPPORT! Awkward USB position on the riser plug for some motherboards . . .
IMPORTANT NOTE:Notice that this riser's PCIe x 1 slot plug has the USB port on the side rather then the top as is typical. This is fine on some motherboards, on others it can be an issue. My 12 card rig is using a AsRock H110 Pro BTC+ where it's fine however on my 6 card rig I have a Biostar H110m BTC and I can only use this plug on 4 / 6 ports, had to buy other risers for the other two because the ports are lateral of one another and you can't get both USB cables plugged in on each row. Just be aware.PROS:* 3 options for powering the riser: SATA, MOLEX, or PCIe 6-Pin* Has a red LED which clearly shows whether the riser is receiving power or not, very handy when a card goes down in a large rig* Foam insulated bottom means you can mount this to anything, even bare metal like a bakers rack or shelf* Overall good construction quality and sturdy design, out of a total of 18 ordered I only had issues with one riser and EXPLOMOS replaced it no questions asked when I mentioned the issue. Great support!CONS (mostly nit-picks)* Side mounted USB port on PCIe x 1 riser means incompatibility with some motherboards like the Biostar H110m BTC* back of PCIe x 1 plugs isn't insulated which is fine for all motherboards except AsRock H110 Pro BTC+, if you're using that MoBo you'll need to put a strip of electrical tape on the back of the plugs to prevent shorting out.* USB cable provided is very short, maybe 24 inches or so. Perfect for a 6 cards rig frame (I highly recommend the AAAWave.com frames) but too short if you're doing a really big 12 or 13 card rig or something large and custom, an extra foot would go a looooong way. Actually it would go 12 more inches :)Overall excellent riser, I plan to use this on every build I do that doesn't have a BioStar H110m BTC board.

Work great so far on 6 GPU rig, If you don't know which ones to get consider these.
I fell like I should leave a review for these risers as I knew nothing about risers before researching them. I bought 6 of them for a mining rig, I'm new to mining and don't know much, but from researching I found that pretty much all the risers on the market are pretty bad and that this was the most common part to fail in your rig. After seeing that the risers that have the 6pin to sata adapter cables sometimes melt or catch fire I knew I didn't want a riser with an adapter cable, but instead one that had a sata port on the riser card itself. I found out there are different version of risers. Some have less capacitors that can lead to an unstable riser card, and some do not come with voltage regulators. So in a nutshell I was looking for a card with at least 4 capacitors, a voltage regulator(not sure if this riser has one, not sure how to tell), and the sata port built into the riser card. Of course I also looked for quality. This card is version 008s, they look like they are made well, It has a foam backing which i like. Everything fits snug in the slots, all 6 risers work great, not getting too hot and I've been running the rig for a few days now. These are the first set of risers I've tried and am thrilled that I didn't end up picking bad ones. I would suggest you give them a try.

Best risers I have used with one small issue..
I have 6 sets of these now (36 risers total) and have not received a bad one or had any of them stop working for any reason.I will say the connections seem to fit tighter than other older version risers such as the 007S or 0088. So I'm happy with the purchase. The LED is a nice touch. It without one going bad yet, I don't know if it is a useful feature or not.I removed one star as the mounting holes are not in a standard format. The four holes are slightly off from what you would expect. I don't know why that is and it probably doesn't matter for most of us. I will continue to buy these for my frames that don't use the mounting screws but for my GPU server chassis where mounting them is required, I am forced to use a different brand/version.So other than the mounting hole location being wrong, these are by far the best your going to find. I started buying these when they had zero reviews and took a gamble. Where else on Amazon have you seen risers with this high of a rating? Quit looking and just buy these, you won't regret it.

Best risers on Amazon
These are my favorite risers. Sometimes even with careful planning things don't come together the way you expect when you finally put a rig together. These risers give you the flexibility to overcome these variables because of the multiple power options. Believe me when I tell you that nothing is worse than having everything and not being able to complete a build because you need to order partX suddenly.I have ordered 3 sets of these so far and I haven't had a single issue thus far. I have never had a dead or broken riser out of the box nor have I had stability issues once they are up and running. Just make sure you have done your research as far as how much power you can put on a single rail/cable before you hook things up. Rule of thumb is never more than 2 risers per cable.I bought a 6 pack of risers and one was missing. I notified SunTechnology of the mistake as soon as I realized it. They shipped out the missing riser that day with no extra charge. Fantastic customer support and response time. I wish we had more third party sellers like this on amazon.

It’s too easy to assume a riser may be bad when it ...
These risers worked well for me. At this time, all 6 are working as advertised. The only challenge to get them working was to ensure each one was getting enough power. If one doesn’t work, it’s not obvious why. In my case, I was pulling too much power from a single rail in my power supply. To solve the issue, I purchased some power adapters so that I can pull power from more rails. It’s also crucial to setup each card one at a time. I found if one card doesn’t work properly, then all supsequent cards will also fail so you really need to identify any issues one card at a time. It’s too easy to assume a riser may be bad when it could just be a seating or power issue. Finally, I used both the molex and the other power adapter supported in the riser. Both seem to work interchangeably just fine.

Good quality but no power supply cable
Product quality is good no worries, but it doesnot come with any power supply cable. That is an additional purchase. Risers requies its own power from the PSU. If you have any extra Molex, SATA or 6pin you are good to go.
