So far so good...
My wife and I moved to PA from Oklahoma about three years ago. My first winter, I tried shoveling the show. It seemed like a never ending battle as our house has a large side drive and a double, rear entry garage. I decided to get a snow blower, but didn't want to spend too much money, so I decided to get an electric snow blower. While it worked great, I wasn't a fan of dragging an extension cord all over the place. The following year I picked up a used gas blower from my neighbor. I used it off and on over a winter. It was an old style blower with fins, so it didn't throw the snow as far as my electric blower with a chute did, but it did an okay job. This winter, the old blower finally gave up the ghost, so my wife and I decided to go pick up a snow blower this last Saturday. However, the local stations were predicting 8" of snow, so all the blowers (single stage) were gone. We drove all over town looking, but to no avail. When we got home, I decided to look on Amazon. I came across several blowers, then found this one. While there were no reviews on this item, it qualified for Prime shipping and so $150 cheaper than the next option, so I decided to take a chance. The blower came in today in a box that took some wrangling to get in off the porch. I put it together while watching TV so I could test it tonight. (**NOTE** If you wish to use this the day you get it, you are going to need either 0W-30 or 0W40 oil for the engine.) A quick trip to Wal Mart, and a quick fill of the gas tank, it was ready to go.I opened the choke. Pushed the prime button four times, and pulled the starter cord. It kicked over and died. Two more punches on the primer and one more pull, and it came to life. Since the 8" of snow never came, I went to a part of my yard where the snow had piled up and glazed over with a layer of ice. It cut through it without any problem.I will wait for the first real snow so I can put it through its paces and update my review then. Right now, I was torn between 4 stars (I don't like the fact it doesn't have a crank to move the chute. You have to lean down and do that.) However, due to the cost, I decided to give it a 5 stars.

It works, but you get what you pay for.
It does the job.Is this an amazing snow blower? Not at all. The chute clogs in the wrong kind of snow. It's not self propelled. It's not going to move more than 12 inches of snow. It's not going to move that pile the plow left at the foot of your driveway. If you want these features, you're going to need to spend more than this on a gas snow blower. That said, as a cheap gas snow blower, it works quite well. During the winter storm that hit the east coast of the US in 2016, it cleared most of my rather large driveway with no problem. (I had to do it several times because more than 12 inches fell, but I expected that.)I will close this review with this advice: Read the manual. Do the maintenance. Change the oil. If you don't want to drain the thing in the off season, start it and let it run for a couple of minutes every time you mow your lawn. Use fuel stabilizer. It's an engine with a carburetor. You have to take care of it, the same as you would an old car.

Great Value Snow Thrower
I bought a new house with my fiance' back in February. As well live in Ohio, it snowed all throughout the month and a little in March. In years past when I lived in my apartment, i just shoveled show, but I vowed that when I bought a house, I'd get a snow thrower to go with it. I looked at differnt models here on Amazon and after doing some research I settled on this one. It was in our price range and looked like it would do everything we needed it to.Delivery was quick, although the box was rather large. It was easy to get out and assembly, needing only some simple hand tools. Some 0W-30 for the engine and some fuel and I was up and running. The snow thrower runs like a dream. I was able to get my driveway, my neighbors driveway, and an entire block of sidewalk done without any struggle at all and without using up a full tank of gas.I highly recommend this unit if you are on a budget. It's a great buy for the price.

Good thrower for moderate snow
I live in Utah and wanted a new lighter weight thrower, and this one fits the bill. Good for up to 7-8" of light snow/power, but has trouble with more than 4-5" of heavier, wetter snow.Assembly was pretty fast and intuitive, and started on second pull when I filled with fuel. Only issue I've had was the right wheel came off today while in use, but didn't break. Unit uses small clips and one broke, but a trip to Home Depot and 24 cents later and wheel was reattached.

Auger bogs down and stops fairly easily.
I first used this on about 6-7" of light fluffy snow. I have to push it about a foot and wait for the snow to clear. The auger bogs down fairly easily. In wet snow it's virtually useless.

I got the snowblower today. It was easy to put together and it started right up after I discovered I had the choke on off lol it cleaned up my four car parking lot and the side of my house and the front. I did both my neighbors front walks. I think it is worth the money. It does vibrate a bit but it did the job I bought it to do.

better then I was expecting for a small snow blower
better then I was expecting for a small snow blower. but really handy do not need a big truck or trailer to haul this around that is if you have too. takes about the same amount of space as a push mower really impressed with the power.the only thing i do not like is it only blows the slow straight and to the left. spread is to limited.

I used it for the first time today. Mother Nature dropped a little over 30 inches of snow on us last night. Ok, I wasn't disappointed in the way the Avvix æmoved the snow or the handling of it but I was disappointed because I couldn't adjust the hieght so It wouldn't throw rocks.
