Real Barrier Essence Face Mist, Moisturizing Facial Spray for Senstive Skin with Panthenol and Madecassoside, Hydrating, Calming, Strengthening Skin Barrier, 3.38 Fl Oz, 100ml

My most used product when my pores are extra clogged, refusing to clear up and skin is distressed and oily dehydrated (yes, dry, normal, combination and oily are utterly useless words sometimes— oily skin gets dehydrated and requires kind of dry/sensitive skin type of approach, so products for oily skin simply DONT WORK). And this super milky essence spray is exactly why it needs to lock in moisture and hydrate!(I’ll rant first then get back to this product) Don’t judge - I’ve hoarded multiple thousand dollars worth of products in dealing with my sebum overproduction and hormonal acne.. so I’ve tried a lot. What I’ve learned is that in my case where I don’t get shiny skin but rather out of control sebum clogged pores that every menstrual cycle “explode” into non-inflammatory acne … all of these “acne” and “oil control” and “oil free” (PS what a joke - most will use silicones instead of good oils and call it “oil free” but then clog your skin) products are relatively useless for if you don’t have inflammatory/bacterial acne. Instead you get products that dry up your skin or worse, destroy the healthy barrier leaving it STILL clogged with whiteheads (only worse if now dehydrated).Sorry for the rant — what I learned after getting this mist (which by the way is one of the best ceramide mists - I thought I just bought first random one, but in looking to find others, I’ve not seen almost any that match up) is:You want “oily” stuff on your skin to deal with oily skin - not in the most simple cases where it’s just a little T-zone shine etc, but actually clogged pores. The more you deprive your skin of oily substances it produces the more it will try to replace them! You can get rid of a little, but otherwise you are just dehydrating your skin. And Ceramides, Squalene and products with good oils and clean ingredients are actually what you need along with all those hyaluronic acids etc!Use this as a moisturizer or under a moisturizer. Or best yet! Use this as a natural/dewy finish mist over makeup — if my powder makeup is drying up, I spray this and let absorb and like magic! It becomes a creamy foundation that looks like you have applied one single perfect layer.Here’s another way I use it (since it can be a bit too creamy for some uses) - this is my best discovery in skin care:(Recipe) Healing Snow Mushroom Ceramide with Anti-Aging:- 1 x Real Barriers Essence Mist- 1 x Thayers Hydrating Milky Toner w/Snow Mushroom (like a liquid lotion - creamier/thicker than mist)- 4 x some pure liquid like Hydrosol (I use Lavender but anything like this)- (optional) 2-5% Skin Actives diy ingredients - I use: 1. Copper Peptide 2. Copper Tripeptide 3. EGFThis spray has the same consistency as the RB e. mist, but now has less ceramides to make it lighter and extra hydration from the snow mushroom plus soothing lavender and wound healing/skin repairing/anti-aging ingredients. Try this!Buy the mist - you won’t regret having it around.

I use this as the cherry on top of my skin care routine and have trouble not asking people to touch my cheeks. I don't know what is in it that works so well, but I'm understanding why everyone in my kdramas has such soft and hydrated faces! This is a permanent addition to my days now.

I love the whole Real Barrier line, but like the rest of the products, it’s sticky. I’ve used it over other serums, but itself, with moisturizer on after. There’s no way to make it not sticky, so I only use it at night. However, it does what it claims.

Nice and moisturizing. Easy and small enough to carry. Only thing I didn’t like so much is that it does not spray out evenly. Otherwise, would very recommend!

This product is great for my dry skin. My skin is sensitive as well and this doesn't irritate my face. Highly recommended!

The page for this product is extremely misleading. I saw good reviews of this line and wanted to dip my toe in by getting this mist. Keep in mind it contains essential oils, which if you are not sensitive to it, is fine but I am ALLERGIC to oranges and this contains orange oil. I wish they had accurately put the full ingredient list because I wouldn't have bought it. I didn't realize until I received the box which listed orange and lavender oil. Even though the brand mentioned here that it "has 0.3% of essential oils," it should be stated on the ingredients for the page. It also advertises itself as skin barrier friendly and good for repairing the barrier but if you have truly damaged your skin barrier, you need to baby it and use gentle soothing products. It smells strongly of lavender which I don't mind in fragrance but it's not at all a pleasant smell to put on my face. I only used it for 2 days just cause I wanted to see how it worked despite, so I don't have a good review of how the product performs long term but the overall first impressions just left a bad taste in my mouth. My skin did look healthy and plump so I give it that but I couldn't get over the smell and worried my allergy would be worse. I don't recommend this if you have damaged your skin from using harsh retinoids, over usage of chemical exfoliation, or you are experiencing a sun burn.
