Well matched, well balanced combo
I don't generally buy combos in fact I think this might be the only one I've ever bought. I like it. Great reel, no complaints on the rod. Works well for bass as well as light saltwater.

Overall quite good - UPDATE AFTER USAGE !!
Amazon finally figured out to ship rods without breaking them - nice !BUT first they sent me the wrong rod and I had to sent it back for replacement.I asked the Amazon support in advance if the box of the reel is included in that package and they said "yes" but it wasn't.The reel is quite nice but definitely on the heavier side.The rod is a bit shorter than expected but according to the description.Yes I would recommend that product and would buy it again, BUT do not trust Amazon support - they have no idea what they are talking about !!UPDATE:The reel is BAD !!It's heavy when you do spin fishing but there is a major issue with it. The bail is the worst. It snapped back multiple time during my casts and you are losing lures. It is very annoying because you never know if or when it will do it.

great combo for the money you can fight trout red fish jack and sharks. The reel will hold up to all inshore fish.

A good rod and reel combo. Worth the money!
I have 2 and use them for saltwater fishing. I really like the action of the rod. The reel is exceptionally smooth and durable. I've caught a good amount of slot reds and I like how the combo handles. I'd say it's worth the money you're gonna spend. It's a a bit big for a 3000, but it balances well in the rod. I use the bg 2500 for lures and soft plastic. I use the 3000 combo for cork and bobber, but it also casts soft plastic and lures very well.

Solid reel. Nice smooth cast. I think best reel out there price wise.

Very disappointed
Bought it for a few weeks. The reel is smooth and has but for some reason, when I cast it auto shut off and it happened for several times. Now it starts to have noise. It feels like there is a small rock or grit got in and grinding.
