KKS Motor Sports KKS850 - Chevy/GMC Trucks

Before I purchased this radiator for my 1986 Chevy K5 Blazer (6.2 Diesel), I called Reliable Radiator and asked if this was a direct replacement for the stock radiator. I was told it was. Problem #1: The radiator looked like it was package well, but - the loose fittings inside the box bent a lot of the cooling fins. I sent Reliable Radiator an email regarding all the bent fins and never heard back from them. I spent hours with a tiny screwdriver straightening fins! Now onto the most important part. The tanks are not the same size as the OEM Harrison radiator. This makes it impossible to mount your radiator without making custom mounting pads. The radiator needed to be raised 3/4” to make the top clamps effective. I also had to trim the stock radiator shroud to fit next to the upper radiator hose. The top and bottom of the tanks do not line up with the stock rubber mounting pads. And here’s to ching chong chinese crap...what fitting size is used for the upper port plug? It isn’t anything we could match at Napa or O’Reilly. Must be metric! There also isn’t a fitting for the coolant level sensor. Without it, your dashlight stays red! ALSO - No Fitting for the heater hose! Now onto the description...says it fits “Chevolet Blazer Base 1982-1991 Engine=4.8L 292Cu. In. GAS Naturally Aspirated”. Reliable Radiator told me this was correct even when I told them I have a 6.2L Diesel. My advice is do not buy from this company or use KKS Radiators in any application other than “customer must fabricate to fit” A complete thumbs down.
