I bought this Neutrogena facial cleanser for my son, who was dealing with teenage acne. After using it regularly, we noticed a visible improvement in his skin. What I liked most is that it leaves his skin feeling very soft and, most importantly, it helped clear up his pimples without causing dryness or irritation.I highly recommend this product, especially for teenagers who are just starting to experience acne. Neutrogena is a reliable and effective brand. I will definitely buy it again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love this cleanser. I feel like my skin is looking so much better since I started using this twice a day. I had some areas with bumpy skin that I was told was acne under the skin from long-term steroid use due to a prescription I take for a medical condition. Within a week, my skin was much smoother.

I have used this face wash for many years and it is the only one I buy. Haven’t had many acne breakouts and if I do it is always minimal. I always make sure to use it twice a day. Also smells great!

This is a good product that is what it says it is - an oil-free skin cleaner with salicylic acid. My daughter loves it, thinks it works well, and has purchased it many times. But I have sensitive skin and never use a product with salicylic acid. Although I use other Neutrogena products, this particular product is very irritating to my skin. So maybe think twice about purchasing it, if you have very sensitive skin. Also, for everyone, salicylic acid can make your skin more sensitive to the sun and to getting sunburned. So, if you are using this product, take care to protect your skin from the sun.

Always does the work - been using for years and it always makes my face clean and acne free

It’s a classic for a reason- it works. But be warned, it’s very strong and drying. I prefer the “Deep Clean” wash over this just based on smell alone, but it also doesn’t seem to be as strong. I have combination skin, with only the occasional hormonal zit, and it seems to work pretty well at keeping bacteria at bay- but so does “Deep Clean” without the irritation. Moisturizer is a must with this after cleansing or your skin will feel tight, dry, and uncomfortable.
