Loved it until is suddenly died
Looks great, quiet, nice slow control with a good transformer, pulls well, and directional LED lights are a plus. It can handle tight corners, with a radius of about 8", just as we hoped. However, it died way too soon. The drive gears somehow got jammed, or the motor lost power. Perhaps just bad luck...

Beautiful little EMD SW1 Switching Locomotives !
I purchased two of these Arnold SW1 Switchers, they are beautifully detailed and have crisp lettering. They are DCC ready, all I had to do to switch them over to DCC was remove the 6 pin DC dummy plug and replace it with a 6 pin decoder and program the Loco's road number into the decoder, it took all of 5 minutes for each one as I was learning how with my first DCC system. they ran great on regular DC power and even better on DC Pulse power and could be slowed down to a crawl and were fairly quiet. I only acquired my DCC System about 3 weeks ago and they run just as good as with DC Pulse, but because of the Quiet run feature of the decoders I installed they now run very quietly. I am very happy with these Locomotives !!!
