I compared this Nylon basket to others I was shopping around and compared to what this brings I kept wondering why other pet baskets were so much money?From what I see there are two options, wood and nylon. I went with the nylon because like the material more; easier to clean, put stickers on, many pocket spaces.Installation it’s very simple. And you can adjust how much it sticks out toward the bottom to level it out.I think it’s so neat that it has multiple pockets, I compared to other $30-$40 pet baskets that were just literally a basket nothing else for way more and less cute/cool depending on your gender.I don’t have the overhead umbrella set up on mine. It has its benefits, shadowing your pet or grocery depending on what you use it for. But that’s the thing, this basket came with that option, which a lot of other baskets don’t and are priced higher.Took it out on a test drive for half an hour and it was very secured. At first you will wobble just because you have to find the right balance but after that it is smooth sailing. Basket doesn’t wiggle or constantly bounces. My dog at first was a bit nervous because he looked like he wanted to jump out but he didn’t he just looked like it and after a few minutes with the wind in his car he sat down and enjoyed the ride.And it freaking brings a secure latch for your dog also, which a lot of other higher priced basket didn’t! Man solid product. I’ll be back a few months from now to update on the durability. First impressions, if received without any defects because let’s face it sometimes people get a messed up version of a product it just happens unfortunately, but mine didn’t and I just think it currently holds a 5 star review.

Is as it appears. Easy to assemble . Plenty of room for my 14 lb shih tzu.

This basket is very well made and sturdy with the dog in it. This dog weighs about 13 lbs. She sat very still but did move a few times. I find, as did others, that it is different steering when you have added weight on your handlbars but you get used to it fairly fast. Any bike basket out front would be like this.The basket attaches to a bracket that you mount on your handlebars. The brackets are clamps that screw on securely. Then there is a strong wire piece that slides up into a mount on the back of the basket. There are two nylon straps that you tighten onto the handlebars as well, just to ensure that the basket does not come off of the mount. The optional sunshade--which is very nice, attaches at four points with little leatherette straps. I undo two and flip it back to put the dog in. There is a tether in the bottom to attach to your dog's harness. The plush liner is good quality and i decided to add a small towel in the bottom just for added cushioning. Not really necessary but decided it might be nice if the roads are bumpy. I could also add a small layer of foam under the liner bottom if I really want to spoil her.The hardest work is just putting the mounting pieces on the bike the first time. After that, any time you want to remove it, you can just slide the basket off after undoing the nylon straps and leave the mount in place. This was a little splurge and we are so glad we got it. Probably one of our top 5 Amazon purchases ever.

This basket was the perfect size for our dog. It was used in a driving Dog competition. The basket was sturdy and comfortable for our dog. However, I would warn you not to use the small metal clips that were provided with the strapping of the basket. As soon as the strapping was tightened the clip broke. I would throw them away.

The media could not be loaded. It’s a functional pet carrier it has a club so you can secure your furry friend. Definitely need a harness to hook up your pet. For reference Bailey is 15lbs she’s a ween so her body is pretty long but she rides very comfortably in the basket so there’s enough room for small dogs under 15lbs. The design is nice however we did struggle to put it on my bike but that maybe because the bike I have is a little heavier and the bars are thicker than most. Otherwise it’s pretty easy to use we love being able to take Bailey out with us.

My worst nighmare, I wiped out on my bike with my dog in the basket. It happened so fast I didn't have time to brace myself or my dog. When I landed on the sidewalk, I didn't care about myself, I was more worried about my dog. She was clipped into the basket, per instructions and I am very happy to say she was good. She wasn't injured, she was still attached to the basket, but just standing there looking at me while I layed on the ground. The basket did get bent a little from the fall, but stayed intact to the bike. I believe the make of the basket, a soft weave and a blanket I add to the basket saved her. A metal basket I don't believe would have done so well for my baby.

So, I wasn't planning to leave a review because Amazon was helpful but then the quality of the basket deteriorated in a matter of two weeks while just sitting there.The basket did not fit my e-bike's bars so I went to return it and learned the return was almost $15 rather than free. OK, that's fine as I noted that Amazon helped me figure that out. But while the basket sat there, the top sun protector started unraveling so it either unglued to snapped at some point. It does not give me confidence in the basket, itself, so I'm glad things worked out as they did.
