It does not slide off of the surface. It stays put.
I bought this to protect the top of my mother's cedar chest that I inherited. My 100 pound dog likes to jump on top of the cedar chest to look out the window. His claws were scratching up the top of the chest. This is the perfect product. It is exactly the size to fit the chest with dome overhang on the sides. It is soft and it does not slide when he jumps on it. It is exactly what I was looking for. It comes in a beautiful cream color which matches my bedroom.

This is a wonderful cover to protect my wood bay window from dogs scratching it up. The nonslip holds up really well and doesn’t move around when they jump up and down. If you’re buying this to be a seat cushion, definitely look for something else as it’s very thin and will not be very comfortable to sit on. But it’s a wonderful protective layer against dogs jumping up and down.

Underwhelmed but still happy to have it
Like many reviewers, I bought this so there would be something for my pets to lay on the window seat to enjoy the sun.Pros: -Doesn’t slip or slide off the ledge. -Good length and width covering the edges, allowing good grip for elderly cats to jump down with support. -Lovely colour, and the material has a nice texture.Cons: -Not thick at all. It’s super thin. So, while the material is plush, the stuffing is minimal. I still had to buy cushions for there to be some semblance of comfort for the cats to sit on.All in all, it’s nice but not the best. Might be a tad overpriced for what it is, but it won’t slip and will take the chill off the ledge. I’ve tried to be fair, but if you’re looking for something thick, soft or plush, this is not it.
