I would like to get behind this product, but I just can't. I've been using "ToothSoap" brand for about 10 years so I thought I'd give this new one a try.First of all, you only get 0.3 ounces of product (Tooth Saviour) so it just not a good value. They claim there are 70 shreds, enough to brush twice a day for two months.OK, well, I counted them, the 70 shreds claim is accurate. But the problem is, in REALITY, it DOES take about THREE shreds to effectively brush with these. MAYBE if you get two get quality shreds, you could use two, maybe. The picture of the shred posted here is very deceptive inmy opinion, the shreds, are very small, soft, and most are broken into tiny pieces. In any case, there is simply no way you are going to brush your teeth 120 times with 70 shreds, its just not going to happen, even if one shred would allow you to brush your teeth EFFECTIVELY (which it doesn't). In comparison "ToothSoap" shreds are longer and the "soap up" better than these. I use two "ToothSoap" shreds because I like to be sure, but if I had to I could use one, as long as a started out with some water in my mouth.You get 4 ounces of "ToothSoap" brand for $20-$30 if you order from Amazon. (And I never order from Amazon, I signed up to the mailing list at the "ToothSoap" website and I always wait for them to offer me the buy one get one free deal, which they always do about every 6 months or so.Even IF I were paying the Amazon price, this stuff is at least three times more expensve than "ToothSoap" brand. Yeah, it cleans as good, but its just not justifiable cost wise.

This tooth soap exceeded my expectations. First, I have never tried this type of tooth cleaner before. I took the leap because I had previously tried soap from this company, that I purchased first from a National Park. I loved it! It worked wonderfully and smelled great, not soapy. I then moved on to try a hair shampoo from this company. I love the natural clean from this as well. So, to the tooth soap, it cleans my teeth and leaves them feeling clean for a long time. The clean feels more real than some other pastes that cover a grimy feeling with strong essential oils. Another way this soap exceeds my expectations is that in reading the description and reviews I anticipated that what i was getting would last about a month, brushing 2-3 times a day. There is far more in the small jar than I knew. And a small piece goes a long way. I break each piece in half before using.

Price is high, and they do not melt or dissolve like I'm used to with another brand
