Excellent value
This brace is an excellent value. Note that is does *not* compare to the type of much more rigid brace you can get for 6x-10x the price, but is a lot better than anything carried at the local pharmacy or big box store (I tried a bunch from somewhere with a liberal return policy). If what you need is a brace that helps a lot to keep your knee from twisting, then this one fits the bill. This brace a bit bulky, so I definitely would not want to use it for running or other high movement sports, but it's good for walking. The hinges are metal, but the plastic is pretty soft. It does give quite a bit of support though. I tore my MCL a few weeks before heading off on a trip where I was planning to do a lot of walking around as a tourist, but I didn't want to spend $600-$800 on a brace. I don't think I could have walked half as much as I did with just a normal off-the-shelf brace. It was great at preventing my knee from twisting, as any little twisting force at the time hurt like hell.It didn't do anything for my torn meniscus. I have a minor tear in the other knee from an injury the year before. It was acting up since I was favoring that leg so much while the other had the torn MCL, so I switched knees and it didn't help at all. Also, don't expect to use this for water sports, I'm pretty sure the padding would disintegrate if you wore it in the water. I was originally hoping to wear it for surfing and paddling. Some tips:-Because of the soft plastic, when I strapped it down it squeezed together and the hinge pad pressed right on my injury and hurt like hell, so I put some padding (folded up fabric) above and below it to take the pressure off.-Play with the exact location of where the hinges sit. I found that if they were half an inch off it made a huge difference in how well the brace worked and how easy it was to walk in it. The spot that worked the best wasn't the spot that felt most natural when putting the brace on and strapping it down, but did feel the most natural when walking. If it feels like the brace is pushing on you in a weird way when you walk, try moving the hinge's pivot points a little up, down, forward or backward.-Ibuprofen is about 20x more expensive in Italy compared to a local US big box store. Don't forget to bring your own if you travel to Europe. But the espresso drinks were 1/5 the price, so it evened out.

Great brace as long as you are not using it for sports
We bought this brace for our teenage son to wear during his high school football games after a bad knee injury last year. It could be a decent brace as long as you are just wearing it for light activity, but not for sports. In just under a month, 4 games total, this brace has broken twice on my son. The first time it was fixable, but the second time has rendered it useless. My son plays Center, it's not a crazy position. The brace should have lasted for longer than 12 hours of wear time. We are highly disappointed in it and can not recommend it to others.

Great brace, decent quality
Loved the brace, pcl and mcl tears, however the cups on the part that touches your leg actually wore out quicker then I thought they would. Wore the brace for 9 weeks and it was still in good shape other then those inside support cups. Good thing is they send extra pad covers for them. Rate brace 4.7 out of 5.

To narrow around the actual knee area
I couldn’t tell how well they worked because when first trying on the hinge part was so tight around my actual knees i couldn’t even try them out

This is a terrific product IF your knee or knees haven't deteriorated as badly as mine had prior to purchasing this brace. The reason it didn't work for me is I was trying to avoid surgery, but when your osteoporosis is at the point where a total knee replacement is required you probably have gone too far for this brace to be your "Miracle Cure."It is pretty, so maybe I'll turn it into a piece of artwork that I hang on a wall in our basement. If your knee is better than mine to any degree, my bet is this K-2 Knee Brace will be perfect for you. In fact, I'm keeping it because after my knee surgery it might still be valuable for me. If it is, I'll change this from a 4 to 5 Stars Rating. If it isn't, look for mine to be on E-Bay; I'll sell it for half its price and its brand new, including the cool carrying sack with drawstrings that came with it. :)

Works, IF it fits. Didn't for me
This is a very sturdy and well-constructed knee brace. But... (explanation to follow...)I severely injured my knee skiing in 1978. I had a surgical repair and it was usable (ran a lot, including a marathon, biked a couple of centuries, hiked a lot) until several years ago. It now is very unstable and pops a lot (with a lot of pain) just standing around. I decided to try a brace (my old one a 22 year old Lennox Hill) was heavy and clunky). It is either that or a knee replacement.I ordered this from Amazon and wore it for several days. It was terminally uncomfortable. The problem is that my lower leg now tilts out at about a 10 degree angle and my knee joint is much wider than the undamaged knee. You CANNOT bend the brace to fit the angled lower leg as the SS hinges under the plastic extend about 6". And the condyle pads pressing on the sides of the knee were painfully too tight and could not be adjusted. So it is great, if it fits. It did not.I have replaced it with an aluminum OsteoAlign Knee Brace also sold on Amazon. This has adjustable condyle pads and was easily bent at the slight angle to match my leg. It is very comfortable, although not quite as sturdy as this brace. It appears identical in construction and likely made in the same factory except for the mentioned differences.

Brace it.
I bought this brace to protect my knee from further damage after having a knee reconstruction, having used a very exspensive Donjoy knee brace while waiting for surgery I had to buy another one as I had lost so much muscle mass that the Donjoy didn't fit snuggly any longer.I was a little sceptical about the quality of the braceit brace because of the price however when it arrived I was very impressed with the quality of the brace. The straps are simple to adjust and the fit is excellent, this is mainly due to the fact that it is custom sized to your size. The hinged joint is a very robust geared affair same as the Donjoy. I only wish I had found this brace before buying the Donjoy brace I could have saved myself nearly £400! If you have trouble with the stability of your knee then this brace would definatley help.

excellent
I was in two minds about buying this product but thought it was worth the gamble. I was very pleased when it came to find it was sturdy fit well and really helped me to walk properly for the first time in a long time,Ive had multiple surgeries for tracking problems and multiple dislocations. it has really helped to stabilise my knee and help me walk. The knee padded supports are a little cheap looking but do the job, that is the only negative i can find. I would recommend this products and intend to buy another for my right knee, if you have hypermobility and multiple dislocations.subluxations this may help you! Just be aware because this product comes from outside uk you will have to pay £21 duty on it.

A great item at afraction of the cost of Uk prices.
This is a great item and a fraction of the price of a Donjoy !The service is first rate and Warm Man were in contact throughout transit, and DHL were amazing. With the Ref number you can track the package at every stage of its transit, quite outstanding! The only down side is the inport fee of £21 which needs to be paid via DHL ( DHL.co.uk/epayments ) or the van driver?!? A garbled telephone message tells you about the payment but not how to pay. I phoned DHL who were very helpful! All in all a great item, so much so i bought another for my left knee, i suffer with Hypermobility syndrome and these keep me upright without fear of my knees giving out all day long in great comfort.

Suitable as a form of medieval torture
Very poorly made. Velcro not sewed - simply self adhesive - just comes off it pulled. No instructions on use. Save your money!

excellent
This came very quickly and was a perfect fit as measurements required. Had to pay around 30 quid for customs but as others had advised I was expecting this. Arrived quickly and very happy with it.
