Aera Smart Fragrance Electric Diffuser, App Controlled Home Fragrance, Scent Capsules Sold Separately

I have tolerated my wife's attempts to make our house smell better for years. We have 3 kids and 3 dogs. I have lived through way too many nauseous,overpowering, irritating and overpriced odors for years. I was pretty upset that she had spent a bunch more money on yet another device. It was much smaller than I had expected. Begrudgingly, I set it up ( very easy to do by the way ) and went to work. I had pretty much forgotten about it by lunch. I came home to a house that smelled clean. I asked my wife what new cleaning product she was using. She told me she hadn't even been home all day. Then it hit me. That tiny little device didn't cloak the odors of a busy house with stinky fake flower stench. It had actually created a very clean and pleasant environment. I'd buy one for every room if I had to but this little thing covers most of the house. We just went away for a week. I used the app ( very easy to use as well ) and had the house smelling good before we got home. I've finally found the perfect wedding gift for anyone.

I'm very disappointed in the Aera smart diffuser. I wanted to like it so much that I even returned the first one for a replacement, thinking maybe it was just a defective unit. The second one I received had the same problem - NOISE. This diffuser makes such a loud noise that I can't understand how anyone would think it's acceptable. It's a great concept, and the scents are very nice, but the noise literally woke me up two rooms away - I had to turn the thing off to go to sleep at night.

I purchased this machine because of it's wifi capability and great reviews on the scents. I was sorely disappointed. I had it running on the highest possible level, and could only smell anything when I was RIGHT ABOVE the machine. I use a different product in my home works. I really wanted to like this, but it simply doesn't do what it claims to. Save your money and look elsewhere.

I was willing to spend double this to keep a fresh smelling home with 2 small dogs but unfortunately, this wasn't it. I went with a few freshomatic systems by airwick and they seem to be doing better than this. I had it maxed out and could only smell it in the area it was in.

You know how everyone’s house has a smell? I’m very determined to make sure mine is clean and fresh but not offensively fragrant. And having dogs has made that relatively hard so I was stoked to see if the Aera could be the answer.First, love the clean and sleek design (packaging was also amazing, and I’m a sucker for that). The scent is distributed well without being too overly concentrated in the area closest to the device (i.e. it doesn’t assault you when you get close to it like other air fresheners, it drifts throughout the space well). Love that the app shows us the current remaining juice in the scent canister things too.Truly, the only reason I gave this 4 stars is because I’m bitter that I can’t afford to have one in every room. My husband (who was admittedly skeptical about this device) also said the humming was a little louder than he thought it should be, but it didn’t really bother me.Would make a great gift! (I’d gladly accept another one from Santa, or any other willing gift giver.) I recommend the Moondance scent too, light and sweet but not syrupy or overly fruity. I can’t wait to try some of the other scents.

This diffuser is amazing. I LOVE it. Unlike everything else I have tried, the scents are not overpowering or without any smell. You walk in and there is a light aroma that makes the whole place smell fresh. I noticed some people said they had no scent. My guess is they didn’t remove the top and bottom tabs from the cartridge. I made that mistake once and couldn’t figure out why there was no smell. Turns out I had forgotten to remove the bottom tab

This has been nothing but trouble from the start. Runs with a Wi-Fi app that is terrible and unit needs to be reset multiple times a week. Tried using new pods, nothing. Returned once because company said it was defective. Same problems keep happening.

I have owned diffusers in the past, but none compares to this one. Because I can program this diffuser from my phone to turn on a few minutes before I return home, I don't feel as if I am wasting product, and the cartridge will last much longer. Also, I can program how much scent to release, so I can create a subtle but noticeable fragrance, which is what I am looking for. Other scents have given me a headache; the Odyssey scent creates a calm, yet uplifting aroma throughout my home without assaulting my senses. I also like its sleek, quiet, design. Finally, the set-up instructions are clear (I can mess up the easiest of assemblies, but I had no problem with the Aera Smart 2.0). I highly recommend this product if you are looking to create a welcome, clean, noticeable but not overbearing scent- even if you have a cat and a dog!
