Please take note that I’ve only had this tripod for a short time. It was well package and comes with a carrying bag with strap for easy carrying for those days you may not want to carry a camera pack. The main reason I purchased this is because my wife wanted a lightweight tripod that we can use for our travels. I'll admit that she is happy with my selection. The height of this tripod is really good and really tall. The Mactrem tripod is also lightest in weight, which makes it an ideal choice for travel. The legs can also be removed and you can place the ball head on it and you now have an instant monopod. The legs extend using a snap locking mechanism and you can shoot upside down to get the lowest possible angle. This feature is very handy for any tripod to have. Build quality seems good and sturdy.Overall, I am happy with this tripod and at this time would recommend it. As for the price and the accessories of the Mactrem tripod I would say it's an outstanding value.

I thought I was going to like this tripod till the neck of the freaking thing snapped off, sending my brand new Sony a7ii careening to the ground.Seriously.It was at full extended length too, so the fall was significant.Concerned about camera/lens damage; will be trying to contact seller.The above images try an illustrate what happened; apparently the head of the tripod which holds your camera is secured in place by cheap plastic. I was shooting long exposure when it suddenly just snapped.This is the second one I've tried too - the first I returned due to another cheap plastic fastener breaking, causing the central shaft to not reliably stay in place when loaded with a camera.Don't know why it has so many good reviews.Would not recommend buying.

The media could not be loaded.  I needed a tripod to hold my iPhone during live video and this is working well for me. The most important feature for me was the 360 degree ball head (this is what my video shows). I tried two other tripods but each had “stops” on the swivel making it very hard to get my phone in the exact position. With this ball head, I can place the iPhone in any position without limitations. The tripod is very durable but lightweight. Each leg can be set at a different length or angle independent of the others. The only thing that I wish it had was a swivel handle but it’s not a major issue. My main feature that I really wanted was the ball head. Maybe there is one out there with both features, I just ran out of time and patience trying to sort through all the tripods on the market. I would definitely recommend this tripod.

I’m writing this review to receive a free memory card; however, please note I’ve only had this tripod for a short time. With that said, so far this tripod seems to be great.The carry bag seems to be well made.This tripod is my first ball head tripod so I’m having to adjust to it but I like it. It gives me more range.One of the reasons I chose this tripod was for the height. It’s great!!! I’m short but with my last tripod I would have to bend down or sit on a small stool in order to take pics of the moon. I don’t have to do that any longer.I bought this to take on a trip soon so will see how it performs then. It seems to be very compact so think it will travel well too.I’m glad I purchased and can’t wait to try out the monopod.Overall, seem like a terrific buy.

At first, I loved this tripod. It’s lightweight and folds up small, a bit shaky. However, Within a few days of purchase, a piece of the center column locking knob broke. I managed to put the piece back on its position. The next day a leg broke, the angle locking knob broke as well. See the pictures. Unfortunately the broken leg is the one that convert the tripod in a monopod. Bummer. I should note that I only used the tripod in our family room and kitchen so I can’t excuse the breaks by saying we hauled the tripod around. After decades of working with various tripods and monopods, I can only explain the early breakage by saying it’s cheap materials. Next time, I’ll spend more and I encourage you to do the same.

Disappointed with the product. It looks and feels very sturdy, but there is a design flaw for the part that holds the camera. The first one that I bought broke from the base that holds the camera. I bought a second one thinking that maybe I just got a bad one at first, and they same thing happened to the second one. Same failure at the same place. I finally decided to go over to Best Buy and buy a more expensive brand and I'm hoping that it holds up better than this one.

Edit (6 Aug 2020): I was able to contact MACTREM and their customer service is great! They are sending me a new tripod and it should arrive in a couple days. They are super friendly and easy to work with. Changing my review back to 5 stars.I love this tripod, from day one I could tell that it was well built and would last a long time. As you can see from my picture, this is not 9 months or so later and the ball head is starting to separate. I've gone past the time window that I am able to contact MACTREM about it through Amazon (I lost the paperwork that came with it so I have no idea if there was a warranty or not). I would love to hear from MACTREM if there is a fix for this, or if I need to buy a new ball head. I love this tripod and would like to continue using it.

Purchased this tripod to use for a spotting to hunt. The tripod is sturdy when the spotting scope is mounted, it is also one of the lightest and compact tripods I could find for a good price. Legs on tripod have numerous adjustments which makes it convenient to either sit or stand at it for different applications.A plus for this tripod is the ability to remove a leg and use as a mono pod or walking stick. Tripod has an allen wrench mounted to it for removal. I would have liked to see a quick connect feature for the removal of this leg instead of unscrewing it.The locking knobs for the platform, head and ball head are smooth which makes gridding and panning smooth.Tripod also came with a phone mount which is a plus.

Outstanding product and it was delivered ahead of the schedule. Product itself is exactly according to the description and works really well to my purpose. I really recommend it.
