The reviews were not brilliant, so I purchased these shoes with low expectations. My grandson loves them, and has great fun using them. He has had hours of fun on them. Elbow knee and wrist protection is advisable, as on any equipment where you need good balance. Not difficult to assemble, as some people indicated. Very pleased with them
