Game changer for use on Zello app or DVSwitch app (still going strong on 7/30/24)
I've been eyeballing a good Bluetooth PTT mic to use on Zello for over a year now but was turned off by the cost of them. When I saw the price on this one, I though I'd give it a try. It's great to be able to leave my phone sitting in the charger and be able to walk around the room doing other things without having to touch my phone when talking on Zello or DVSwitch. Pretty much a "game changer".Here are my observations after about 5 weeks of ownership:1) The Inrico mic has a good "heft" to it, probably due to the huge 2000ma battery. (which is removable)2) It has a couple of of user-programmable buttons on top, but they are reserved for the Inrico radios.3) The transmit audio sounds good. The receive audio has a clear sound, but with a narrow frequency range tuned to the human voice. If you are expecting it to sound as good as the speaker in your high-end phone, you may be disappointed. (there is a 3.5mm plug on top to connect it to an amplified speaker or headphones)4) The range is rated at 30 feet (normal Bluetooth range) but on my Galaxy S9, I get a good 40 feet or more.5) The battery life is stellar! I use it off & on for several hours a day and the battery indicator (in Bluetooth settings) never gets below 80%. (I've left it on all weekend and the battery was still at 50%)6) There was a recent update to the DVSwitch app (ham radio related app) that allows the use of this particular PTT microphone. If you are someone that uses the DVSwitch app, this is great news, as many have requested it.7) I'm not particularly fond of the charging port. The port cover is stiff and the usb port itself has a tight fit and require a bit of force to insert or remove the charging cord. For this reason, I ordered the nifty drop in charger.8) This model (B01) only works with Android devices on Zello. (There is another model for use on IPhones)Update on 7/8/21:Well, I've used this mic every day for the past 5 months and haven't have any issues. The battery life is the same after several recharge cycles. When my friends on Zello seen this mic, they all purchased them as well. Everyone is happy with the mic. I'll try to report back in another 5 or 6 months.Update on 11/23/21:Well, I'm back again and it's been almost another 5 months since my last review. I use this mic nearly every day and still haven't had any issues. The battery life is the same as it was when new. It usually takes about a week of use for the battery to drop from 100% down to 70-80%. A few more of my Zello friends have purchased this mic and they are all happy as well. If you do purchase this mic, I recommend getting the drop in charger as well. Happy Thanksgiving!Update on 9/21/22:Well, it's been almost 10 months since my last review and I still haven't had any issues. I even dropped it a few times, but no damage was incurred. It's definitely sturdy. See you back in another few months!Update on 2/1/23:This mic is still working fine with no issues to report. (I still use it for a few hours every day on Zello)Update on 7/30/24:I've owned this mic for well over 3 years now with zero issues. I'm still on the original battery and I don't notice any degradation in battery life. The main reason for that is that the battery holds a charge for so long that I rarely charge it, and less charging cycles equals longer battery life.

Speaker mic
The quality could be. Sounds tinny if it had a little bass I'll give it 5 stars with with android I don't don't have a iPhone. Battery life is good. Bluetooth 30 feet is fine. It's simply to use

What you need to know
I bought this for use with Zello Work with fire department. Learned a lot on first day. First, once connected, everything goes thru it, notifications, calls, video playback. Is what it is. Unit seems built good although plastic clip doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy. We'll use this for non-fire calls, so should (hoping) be OK. Charged in two hours.Using Zello, the channel button and SOS are Inop. Can't find away to program them either. Volume can only be adjusted on mic when someone is actually talking, but appears if I turn phone volume up manually then it also turns up mic volume. That's the only issues I have seen so far.Open zello, options, push to talk button and you will see BO1. Touch that and a menu opens. Where it says none, select and then press select. It will give you an option to choose a contact or channel. This will make it where the screen button will work the default and the mic will work whatever channel you've assigned. This makes it avoid reverting to the everyone channel every 20 seconds (causing you to have to change channels after 20 seconds of inactivity). Just as easy to assign the channel as it is to switch channels and you only have to do it one time. Just remember to put it back to none when done to use mic for all channels. In essence this gives you two working channels without having to constantly go back and forth. When testing, no one could tell when I used the mic and when I used the phone, so sound was good both ways. When ordering, it gave me the option of buying the base charger. Do it. I also like having the ear peice so I can hear privately and in noisy areas.Overall, it has worked so good so far that everyone in department is going to get one.I chose this one after five days of reading reviews, YouTubes, etc. You don't have to install any apps for it to work, the instructions suck, but just turn it on, auto goes in to pairing mode, select the BO1 (not the other one that pops up; two choices pop up) then in zello select Bluetooth. Done. I hope this helps!

Lots of complaints on how bad it sounds
Bought this product with high hopes. Has many issues. Many complaints from the other users on how it sounds. Picks up to much back ground and has a ticking noise to them. Have to keep the phone out of the pocket and within a few feet for it to be heard without others complaining that I sound like I'm in water. Battery seems good and don't sound bad too receive but the transmit is terrible. I believe I'll be returning this mic. Not happy with it at all.

Works Great with my Anytone AT-878 HT
When I researched the web on the PTT function with an AT-878, I found mixed reviews and confusion. Took a gamble and am pleased to say; This Mic works great with my HT, PTT works, and sound is just a good maybe better. Less wieldy than holding the HT up to your face or ear. I clip it to my seatbelt when I'm driving.

Inrico B01 Bluetooth mic testing testing 123
I bought this to experiment with my radio collection because no one has reviewed it for this usage so I figured I would. So, it will absolutely not work with any two way radio I currently own. I own a couple Motorola and a few Chinese radios and all you get is a constant ringing tone from the mic itself. As far as phone usage, yes it will and does function well. The audio isn't the greatest but hey I didn't buy this for the audio... I have also tried to use this with the Motorola tlk100 network radios but that also hasn't worked out well, I will test on an actual Chinese network radio when it arrives until then I would only recommend this mic for cellphone ie Zello use. Such a shame though as this seems like it would be a welcomed accessory to us DMR users....
